Post by: Roadstergal on September 18, 2005, 06:56:03 PM
A friend of mine got a K1200S.

Then I went to the park.  A dog frightened off the birds; it wasn't me!

And the UW.

Pretty sweet. I'm really liking all of those new bikes from BMW. Especially like the K1200R (http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com/machine/models/model.jsp?model=k1200r).

There's a yellow/black K1200R at Ride West.  If I were rich...

I see the appeal. The first time I saw the trunk space I did a double take :o

If I did a lot of urban commuting I would consider one.

Don't worry; I won't make you ride it.   :)

That's exactly it.  I decided that I was concentrating too much on sexiness and not enough on utility.  And this thing is soooo comfy and soooo practical.

I'd ride a Berger (or any other scooter) if I did urban commuting also. For a scooter, I think it looks pretty good. Don't care much for the long profile of it, but the front of it looks good. Sure beats a Goldwing

what the... you got rid of the Breva?  Guess I missed a few things while I was in Alaska.

How's it (the Burg') ride?  It looks pretty pimp for commuting, but I'd wonder about having it on the highway for long.  Also, how much was it if you don't mind me asking?

edit: the exhaust on that K looks like a freaking bazooka, the can alone probably weighs 20lbs

It's actually fine on the freeway.  I'd say my commute and errands give me 60-70% freeway.  It was gently used, about $5K.  They're selling like hotcakes here, so there are no incentives on new ones.  I wanted an S, but it would have been over a grand more.
