ok. i've been looking at all these pics of RG's burger and definitely envying the cargo space.
then, while looking at the peugeot site relating to the threadjack on hatchbacks, i noticed this:

anybody else got some pics of really cool looking scooters?
The Aprilia SR 50 is nifty.

They had a Spiderman 2 replica at Moto International a few weeks back.
Halfabusa (Burgman 650):

I actually like the "classic" looking ones:

The Katana 50-R is a hot looking little scooter:

If I had been able to find one, I'd have bought one of them instead of the Yamaha Zuma I bought (but have since sold):

Honda Griffon.

Purty, but the storage space is gone!
TRON!!! :thumb:
got a bit of a soft spot for the honda ruckus, too

This is just the ticket to park outside the (H/D) biker bar, kicking in the door (wearing your best pastel gear, and shouting "Which one of you M/F candya$$es wants his a$$ kicked first?" :nana: Then run outside to your "scoot". Be sure to kick over a couple V-twins on your way out. I figure your life expectency would be measured with the "second" hand of a watch!

You seen the big Rukus?

Oh, no, not if I'm on the Burgman. It's faster than a Harley.
OK, I really need to get that pink gear.

It's a scooter. No, I swear. Look. No brake pedal.

For some reason, that makes me smile. I will never own one, but there's something delightfully Tonka-ish about the styling.
I was thinking about it... But the 362 Lbs dry weight and MSRP totally talked me out of it.
Man, that's more than my GSX-R's dry weight. And at its current state of prep, that may be over the wet weight right now, too.
Stupid isn't it? It's a damn 250... It should weigh 250... Just stupid.
My sister's S40 only weighs 352 lbs.
i thought about the big ruckus. much as i like the idea of scooters, i'm iffy about the prospect of a 50cc in LA traffic. i can't get from here to school without using roads where the traffic's going 50-60mph.
the price definitely put me off.
oh, and it only gets about 60mpg. some people (light ones i'd assume) get that one their GSs.

Psh, I'm lightweight and I don't get that much. I wish I did, though. 300 miles on a tank would be amazing. But with how I drive it... :)
Ja, I got mid-60s on my GSs. The Burger actually gets a little less; I wouldn't be surprised if that improves, though. The F650 had an extended breakin, and the mileage improved through about 5K miles. If it doesn't improve, it's still good, and I'd consider it a tradeoff for the storage.
You got MID-60s?? That means you should have been getting at least 180 to 200 miles on a tank... unless I'm doing my math wrong again.
On the F, I would fill up at 230 to be safe.
Yeah, but even so, that's still closer to mid-50s than mid-60s. That's TEN.
Math can't get me this time!
I'd fill up with 3.3-3.5 gallons of gas at 230 miles. That'd mid-60s.
Just filled my 93 GS, 2.865 gallons, 168 miles, 58.6 mpg.
(I weigh 167 lbs)
Last gas stop put me at 59.81 MPG and thats good with me over 270 :(
Hmm, I'll calculate mine next time I fill up...
I get anywhere from 48-53... So, 60 is no shock when the GS is carrying 60 LBS less.
i only get about 36-45 on my 96, but i've got too many fuel sucking mods to count and a crappy start and stop commute back and forth to work every day
jaek
damn, i kinda want that suzuki G strider thing, from the link near the begining.
can anyone say Akira?
Quote from: Church6360can anyone say Akira?
Akira.
What do I win?
the right to watch anime from the 80's whenever you please (you may already have this right, but just in case you didn't)
Akira was the 80s? I could have sworn it was early to mid-90s.
Akira (http://www.allmovie.com/cg/avg.dll?p=avg&sql=1:1319) was 1987.
