There were several bikes I checked out when I was bike shopping, back when I bought my 2004 GS500F brand new in July of 2004. I looked and new and used bikes, but my favorite (aside from the GS500F that I bought obviously) was the Honda 599. I was totally checking it over, and was really interested. The salesman told me though, "it is a wheelie bike" and wasn't sure if it was the right bike for me. :thumb:
If I would have gotten it, they would have included a free tank bag. Suzuki didn't give me anything for free :P
Yeah, but at least the GS has a real paint job!
Ja, Ryan and I were sitting on the one that was at I-90. Feet-on-the-groundage is about the same for an '01+ GS, for me. But I never even looked at it when I was bike-shopping, thanks to the fecking ludicrous price tag. You might as well get a nekkid SV.
it's a nice bike, but waaaaay overpriced for what you get.
Yeah, it is a little pricey, but I just can't get into the SV650. I've tried, and it just doesn't appeal to me at all for some reason. Not even the SV650S. I just liked the "prescence" of the Honda 599. It seemed to command attention in the silent sort of way ;)

That's because the SV is ugly as sin compared to the sexy 599 in my opinion.

buy an F3 and rip the fairings off of it, you'll basically have the same bike

:thumb: Or a Thrux!!
OK... Time for my OCD meds.
Unfortunately, I think the Thruxton is still carbureted. Hard to justify the price tag w/o FI, in my opinion. On looks and style alone, it is hands down my favorite current bike, though.
