What kind of world do we live in where a chair isn't able to do what it was born to do?! And who's this selfish photographer? Why isn't he even bothering to help the little helpless chair out? Way to go you think-for-yourselfer! :x

OMG!  I just looked at my shoes for this first time since I got to work.

I'm wearing one brown shoe and one black shoe!  I guess I got dressed in a hurry today.  What an idiot.

If your shoes were disorganized by Rita, you might be able to get some FEMA funding to straighten them out!

look, the chair was stupid for not getting out of the area in the first place.  i don't think our tax dollars should be wasted helping stupid chairs.

It's because it was a deck chair.  I'm sure if it was a dining room chair the gubbamint would have snapped into action sooner.  But nooooo...no one cares about the deck chairs.

William Jewell, '97.
Mizzou '00.

M-I-Z. . .

You can finish it for me.

My cousin is a cheerleader for KSU.  She got to cheer in Columbia for the first time last year.  I asked her how she liked it.  She said, "Well, somebody threw a whiskey bottle at me!"

Edit: I had a davipu morning.  Went to Harpo's for quarter draws, then the Quaff to close it down.  Yikes.  Those quarter draws are nasty!

I've got a table reserved at Blonde for tomorrow night.   8)

I just can't believe some photographer had so little common decency...no worries, though....no doubt the president will prohibit taking any other pics of dead or dying chairs. :P

what really bothers me is that nobody carried that chair to the waiting busses.

When they evacuated the others to the garage (the Weber, the slip & slide, and the trampoline) they ran out of space.  I fault poor evacuation planning.  I'm sure there's going to be a congressional inquiry.

it's still the federal governments fault for not ensuring that all the chairs were not in the garage.

Yanno, if that chair were white, you'd not be accusing it of looting! It would be finding food! Racist!.....er....Chairist!!  :P

Oh come on. I'm no chairist. We may be green, white, blue, whatever. But we're still all plastic on the inside.

Yeah, but some of us are CE approved.

BS! You know CE approval is something completely made up by the government to keep some good chairs down! All those non-CE approved chairs are never going to have the opportunity to be CE approved because they are so disenfranchized.

the photographer probably didn't help the chair because the chair was shooting at him?

shall we organize a poker run for the chair?

I think I'm going to adopt the chair. Maybe you guys should think about adopting your own also. For only pennies a day, you too could help a starving and helpless chair, giving it food, shelter, an education, and maybe, just maybe a little hope and prosperity.

Yanno, if you just GIVE everything to the chair, it's going to develop a sense of entitlement.... let the damned chair fend for itself! It's a cruel world, but we don't need no mo' welfare chairs!  :dunno:

Hey...I'm all FOR chair power, but giving power to one group of chairs using my tax dollars is what's chairist! Pretty soon every damned chair in the country is gonna come calling with their legs out asking for a handout!

I've heard they've relocated a lot of the deck chairs to the swimming pool area.  The lounge chairs are now wondering how long they're going to stay there.  The Man is considering moving a deck table in there to make the deck chairs feel at home...the inflatable pool toys are starting to worry.

Don't overlook the chairs that have been moved to the cruise ships. Of course, the pundits have discovered that the chairs could be sent on six-month cruises for less than what's being paid to keep them aboard for a month.
