Do you like them? And why

I use Avon 140's on the back and Avon 110's on the front.  Both radials.

I got them on reccomendation of the bike's former owner... but a bit of google-research says that they are good, sticky tires that grip well on wet surfaces.

The front was on the bike when I bought it.  I got my rear from AZ motorsports.  $110 shipped.  Don't order from there unless you're willing to wait a month for it to arrive.  Your best bet is to find a local place with good prices that will mount it for a nominal fee.  Everyone else likes to charge their normal labor rate if you come to them with with a bike and a tire.

Hell, he was a lot more polite than he needed to.  He actually gave you pointers on how to narrow the results down.

Now go read your manual, and sin no more.   :P

You know, if I wanted to be a duck I would have.

Tires are one of the most common topics around here and people tend to ignore them because there are so many.  I was trying to help you figure out what you were asking...  gsJack's posts are THE most informative tire posts I've ever seen.  He's been riding GSs longer than anyone else around here and has used more tires, therefore knows the most.  If you'd rather have a thread with one or two posts about tires that you weren't asking about, then that's fine.

I have Sport Demons.  They're Grrrrreat!  So go buy those.

Tires is one of those touchy ones...  A lot of people just skip over them...

The only thing worse than being hassled about not searching is getting no response at all.  About 3/4 of the time a quick keyword search will answer all of your questions.

When I was buying tires I searched and searched and searched for each type of tire.  Everyone has a different opinion and most of them are already posted a few times...

I ended up getting the Sport Demons 'cause they were in stock.  :dunno:

They seem to get good reviews around here.  Everyone says the price is right too.

JoChan23 does.  So does GSjack.  But you'd rather ask the question than Search for "Avon" so I'll let them tell you what they think of'em if they notice your post.  (I searched and I already know.)  ;)

I had a tire question too. I did a search, read a bunch of threads, did another search to get more specific information on the tires I narrowed it down to, and I finally decided I'd get stock size Pirelli Sport Demons. I'm running on Bridgestone BT45s right now. They aren't too bad, but they take a while to warm up.
