Title: 2006 R6 list price... HOLY CRAP!
Post by: vtlion on October 01, 2005, 03:29:34 PM
9,200 beans?  Are they nuts?  Even the R6S is 8,200 US, and that has an out-dated suspension.  Personally, I find that MSRP very optimistic on their part.   :dunno:

For a 140HP at the crank, 17,500RPM 600cc bike... it is sorta understandable. I mean, hell, my dad's FZ1 is rated for 140HP at the crank...

Yeah, and it's mean lookin', too. I absolutely hate the exhaust on it though. Since my dad rides one I know essentially changed about it! It's a love-or-hate type thing on the FZ1 board. For the most part though, everyone hates the exhaust.

Yeah, I really like the new FZ1 styling.  very agressive lookin'.  I have riden with a few people who have them, and they seem like pretty good scoots.

What I've heard is that with the new pegs (up a half inch and back an inch and a half) they are going to lose sales with the sportier riding position. A lot of the people who ride the FZ1 love its upright seating and non-rearset pegs. Now that they are rearset, it's not that much different from an R1. The people who want that would probably just buy an old R1, or hell, maybe a new one.
