Title: DIY tire change?
Post by: Mountaineer on October 04, 2005, 12:32:30 PM
I hate to do it myself, but after calling a couple of local dealers, I'm inclined to change my own damn tires. I use to do this with old tube-type tires on former GS400, and I finally decided I didn't want to do it anymore. But with tubeless tires, at least you don't have to worry about pinching the innertube.

Has anybody out there tried it? I still have my old tire irons.

Why call the dealer?  I just removed my wheels and took them to the corner quick lube/tire store, they mounted them both for 20 bucks...  I walked in and asked the guy if he mounted motorcycle tires, and he said "there's not much we don't do..."
