I've never seen a bike that looked more "80's" than this one :?

http://austin.craigslist.com/mcy/102133832.html

I wonder if it comes with leg warmers and a sweatband.

if that bike's in good running shape you could pick it up from him for his $1000, toss it on eBay and make a quick 500-750 after eBay fees.

Those little Interceptor 250s supposedly handle like a dream, they're kind of a collector's bike

If I were anywhere near TX, I'd buy it, then buy some matching gear, and I'd be the life of the party at bike night.

I live in Texas... and that bike shames me.

Holy crap that bike is in Austin.

Someone buy it, and then shoot it with a .5 cal rifle.

If you don't like that VTR 250, how about this one?

It's got a 250cc engine that makes slightly less power than the GS.

Funny thing is...that looks almost EXACTLY like the damn EX500 and 250, produced TODAY!

Gawd...

That naked trellis frame does look very very nice.

All it needs is a good coat of PURPLE paint to bring it into the modern age. :P

on the 89 it's drum brakes front and rear, they got a front disc in 91 I think

The front was never drum, but had a center-mounted disk that was completely enclosed by the wheel, save for openings for cooling and to let brake dust out. Unfortunatly, the enclosed brake disk was prone to rusting due to inadequate ventilation after a rain. The reason for mounting the brake disk in-line with the wheel was to (besides be different  ) eliminate brake pull to the side the brake disk was mounted.
