Title: Wedding Bells!
Post by: pandy on October 08, 2005, 02:13:08 PM
THAT got your attention, didn't it!

With all the flirting that goes on, I got to thinking and wondering....

Has anyone ever met on GSTwin, fell in love, and gotten hitched!?

Me and Weaselnoze fell in love...and were internet dating for a while.  It doenst matter that I have a boyfriend b/c internet dating is not cheating.  We still talk and thank GStwin.com for giving us a chance to meet.  The Carlisle trip was the icing on the cake where we met in person (with my boyfriend there haha)  Who knows what would have happened if he wasnt.... :dunno:

I wouldn't mind a wife, but she'd need to be able to cook and clean up after a couple of slobs, and she'd need to be QUIET! If my boyfriend had to put up with any more babbling (not that *I* babble, of course), he'd probably go jump off the GG Bridge. (And *NO* comments from the peanut gallery!)

I did have a Judge accuse me of "selling bananas" in Court once.

The A8 was sweet.  I think I may try to pick one up.  But the car parts of the movie sucked compared to the "Dukes of Hazard" movie.  I've never seen driving like that.  Best car chase I've ever seen.  Hands down.

he's different than Jackie.  not the same persona at all.  he's not a comic actor.  but his fighting might be better than Jackie's, and his stunt work is almost as good.

the stunt work is as good as an 80's Jackie Chan film.  definitely light years better than Jackie's american films.

Jet Li in Fists of Fury.  Has anyone seen that one?  That is my favorite Kung Fu movie.
Title: Wedding Bells!
Post by: indestructibleman on October 13, 2005, 07:15:15 AM
um.  Bruce Lee starred in Fists of Fury, aka The Chinese Connection.

do you mean Fists of Legend, which is based on the same story?

Fists of Legend is my favorite Jet Li film.

although it is kind of funny at the end when the Japanese guy uses a katana like a chinese broadsword.  like it'd have killed them to do a little research.

Heroes of The East, aka Shaolin Challenges Ninja is much better for Chinese vs. Japanese styles, though it's definitely an old school Hong Kong film.

my favorite Kung Fu film is probably Drunken Master 2, aka Legend of The Drunken Master.

Post by: Jake D on October 13, 2005, 07:27:33 AM
I haven't seen it in a couple years, but I would have bet the farm that Jet Li was in Fists of Fury (Chinese student, studying in Japan, the master of his dojo is killed and he returns home to war with the competing dojo and falls in love with the daughter of the competing dojo's master, moves her to the country to hide and end up having to fight him anyway).

But I've been wrong before.

No way!  If I had boobs...

**wavy screen**  **wavy screen**  Ah...

I'd drive way faster...  And not get tickets...
I'd drink for free...  (Which at my rate would counteract the lower wage)
I'd get laid whenever I wanted...

Life would be grand...  Right up until the point when they hit my belt.

And...  It's hard to drink with a full-faced helmet on.   :(

It isn't the size Roadstergal, it is that you aren't pushing them in people's faces enough. Increase cleavage by 15% - 20% and watch the freebies roll in.

Or you can maintain your current dignity and class and leave well enough alone.  :P

Dang, that's the first time I've heard those two words used in my presence without "lacking" in the vicinity.   :o

And Dave - check your email, you drunken bastard.

Survey says...

I am! Well, it's really 3:30 here, but it's all relative. I can't get any sleep. There is this constant knocking noise being transmitted through the walls and floor, and therefore through the legs of the bed, through the frame, and into my head. It's been going on for 2 days now. Gives me good time to catch up on threads, though.
