At least someone is paying attention.

You mean these people, I think not.

Sorry if you have one of these and actually need it, which I find is a very rare occasion.

I am also sorry if you actually ride a short bus............

I have one and kinda need it...  It spends most of its life parked and not sucking up 15 MPG...

About 4 or 5 times a month it comes out to haul equipment...  Then back to the cave.

I need to move an ass-load of equipment in a timely manner.

4 4x12s, 2 guitar amps, 8x10, bass amp, 4 guitars, bass, keyboard stand, moog, sax, FX board, bags, big plastic bin, drums...

It's a LOT of crap to move...  We'd need 5 H#ndas to move it all...  And the gas mileage would be worse than one SUV.   :dunno:

You get 15mpg from an excursion?  Wow.  I barely got that on the highway in my Land Rover Discovery (traded 2 years ago for a civic when I thought gas was getting too expensive ($1.50/gal!)).

Seattle... RAIN...

A pick up with a top is hardly different as far as weight and mileage.  And I honestly don't think I could get all that crap into a small pickup.

Plus, with I'm not hauling equipment for the band I can haul 5 people, 5 snowboards, and 5 people worth of gear...  and still have room left.

PLUS!!!  I already own the damn thing...  Paid off.  Why go get something new so I can have a car payment for something that gets 18 MPG rather than 15 MPG?

You use it for hauling. That is understandable. That is what they are for.

Most of the time I see someone all by thier self on a cell phone, eating a hamburger, and fiddling with my radiator while they are aiming thier vehicle mindlessly at my vehicle, or me walking though some parking lot.

  I deserve it all...

Although, I usually give 2-wheelers about 3 semi-truck lengths...  But, they don't always give themselves that much space.
