so i changed my handlebars today(dont ask why )...and did everything by the book keeping... the f brake reservoir level....installed it in the new bar...check the amount of fluid before clamping it tight...everything is ok..so i sealed the top...and tighten it...but the position is not comfortable so i tilt it down (not much)...no leak on the cap.... tighten the whole assembly up...the level now is a bit lower (considering the tilt)....no change in the feel of the brake...however...when i took it for a ride...the forwrd momentum when braking extremely lowers the level (looks empty for a second)...and then appears right up upon brake release or when completely stop...no change on the brakes bite or feel in the lever...should i be worried that the apparent emptying of the reservoir thru the level would cause any brake problem (like sudden brake disengaging or air going to the lines)? any remedy if this is a problem?
kinda long but i really appreciate your input
If I read this correctly, you filled the reservior when it was level.
You then rotated the bar one way or the other for comfort.
So...with no fluid leaking, as long as you can see the fluid at some point in time, the intake port in the bottom of the unit is covered in fluid. Unless you rotate the bar upside down, the intake is covered.
You will have to rotate the reservior level again when you change fluid and bleed the brake.
I would also recommend checking it while level from time to time.
Of course, I accept no responsibility for the destruction of your bike or life due to this "modification" from standard use.
nope i didnt changed the fluid just change me handlebar...i checked the level with the reservoir level while the old bar was still on... the brake fluid level was fine...i just tilted the master cyclinder assembly so the lever is comfortable... starwalt  ....ill keep an eye on it too
your fine.
