I've searched around on amazon and a few other bookstore sites and a bit on google and a few local stores and no one has a manual for any GS500 past a 2002... Anyone happen to know where to find one?
Yea, it may be a year or so before there's a GS500F version of the Clymer or Haynes manual. It often takes a couple of years for major changes to catch up in these publications, especially if it's not a popular model.
There is a service manual you can get. Here's a link to Repair Manuals.com for the GS500F (http://www.repairmanual.net/motorcycles/2005/62/4/16848).

Ah, an official one.. I've never had an "official" manual. I wonder how it compares to a 3rd party manual? I wonder if there are extra "tips and tricks" in a 3rd party manual? I might get it but 60 bucks... Might have to hold off til I really need it. Thanks for the link! =)
I bought an official owners manual from a stealership when I got my bike, I think it cost something like $30. A complete rip at that price. I don't have a 3rd party service manual yet, but will be picking one up. I had a factory service manual for my old DR650 that was pretty good, I would have rather had that service manual than the owners manual. I bet the factory service manual would be pretty good on the GS as well. Anyone have the factory manual and if so, does it include the '04 and '05 model years?
