A friend of mine is willing to give me a good deal on one.
I'm getting the feeling after reading, that most slipons fit with some modifications. I don't understand how it all works, but will a Holeshot fit as well?
Anything in particular I should look out for? Or would doing this be too much of a hassle?
One more, if I do add this slipon, would I need the same re-jet that a bike that has added something like a Wileyco would need right?
EDIT. I should add it's for an 04 GS.

yes, you should rejet.
the real question is how much will it cost you to get the midpipe made and weld it and the slipon on?
I think I finally see the big picture. When you say midpipe, I take it to mean that's the flange I read about. Of course since this is not a Wileyco, I would need something totally different and it might be custom. Plus the costs involved vs something like the Wileyco and flange.
Got it.

If you are going to get a REALLY good deal on the holeshot, why not check the bolt pattern or take a pic of the bolt pattern and post it, and see how similar it is to the flange Srinath will be making, as Roadstergal pointed out. If it works, then buy the flange from Srinath and the can from your friend, and your in bid-ness 8)
yup, if you know what bike the holeshot if off of, we can tell you if it'll work with the flange. i'm 99% sure that it won't match so you'll need a custom flange made :(
Cool, I'll try and get the pic. It's for a Bandit. http://www.holeshot.com/bandit/slipons.html I don't know exactly which one though.

doh! nevermind...you said it was a slip-on
Well I should be more  because I have no idea why you are
I have no idea why I'm confused, but something is not matching up in my head.
Let me know if I have the below correct.
Slipon = just the muffler part
Flange = equals the pipe the connects the slipon to the rest of the pipes leading into the header. NVM I think I finally got it.
I've seen pics of where to cut the header pipes at, so I believe I have that covered.
slipon:

held on by a set of spring hooks

a full slipon system (comes with mid and header pipes)

bolton:

it's held on by a set of bolts. above is a four bolt pattern.
srinath's flange that you hear about is only compatible with 3 bolt pattern bolton pipe.
the flange replaces the stock mid pipe (you cut most of it off).
then, the flange slips over the remaining mid pipe, just before the header pipes
LOL!!! Bolton and slipon are two different things. Now I see where my damn confusion was stemming from. Thank you for that. At least now I know what people are talking about when they refer to them. Man I've been so confused and irritated because of this. I just couldn't understand why after searching I was confused.
yup. it's damn confusing.
holeshot is definitely a slipon so it won't work with srinath's flange. i like their pipes though. if i had a sv, i would get a holeshot.
