Post by: weaselnoze on October 21, 2005, 02:05:49 PM
the local stealers want $25 bucks per wheel for mount n balance assuming its off the cycle.  thats effing redicuolus in my mind!  i've called all the auto tire places around here and some wont bother at all and the others will only mount.  they dont have the balancer... WTF?! is that way overpriced??

Damn Chris, stop doing noobie no-no's and search. Search, search, search!

Anyway, when I got my rear tire replaced, they charged me 1/2 hour labor for it ($65/hour..do that math haha) and that included unmounting and remounting it on the bike. I rode it in and rode it out. Of course, I also bought the tire from them, got my inspection, and bought the from them initially.  :dunno:

yea, that's f'd up. if you're going to charge $25 per, at least unmount/mount the wheel.

i was charged $20 per but they did everything.

Off the bike, tire mounting/balancing goes for between $13-20 in my area.
