Title: Wisconsin Guy Takes First Ride...
Post by: gsmetal on October 23, 2005, 10:27:07 AM
Oh my gosh....that little guy is fun!

The bike had been sitting for a while so the carbs might be a little plugged up but I threw some Techron in it along with some fresh fuel and it's starting to open up and run a better. I could live without having to pull in the clutch every time you want to start the bike - highly annoying (any suggestions on how to do that switch disconnect??)

I can see why you would want to do a front suspension upgrade - the stock springs are useless on otherwise a fun little bike.

Try a search for "clutch switch" and you will find several threads.

Hint: It is only two wires running from the switch, to the headlight bucket. They have bullet connectors on them - remarkably with different sexes! Find them, connect them together, and viola! No more clutch switch interlock in the starting circuit. 2nd Hint: They are yellow/green.

Glad you had fun. Now you're making me want to get finished with my project!
