Title: Any twisties in Saskatchewan?
Post by: Grainbelt on October 25, 2005, 02:06:12 PM
Posted a while back that I might be in Saskatoon for a few years... I'm there, and by some freak of nature winter decided to hold off until after my bike got here.  Put the mirrors back on ( :guns: movers ) picked up some insulated gloves, and I'm ready to go... nowhere, it seems.

Picked up Spadina crescent North the other day, decent road north along the river. Can always ride around campus and enjoy the, err, scenery.
Anybody from Saskatoon have suggestions for a quick evening ride?

Yah, I lived in ToonTown for a few years....yup spadina is pretty much the only decent twisty section in the city....of course if you're adventurous you can attempt takin the mountain bikin paths that cut through the bushes along the river on the university side. :P

Straight Roads = what ya get when the province is a L7 shape in the middle of the praries.  :)

Looking on Streets & Trips, you'd have to get north of Prince Albert before the roads take on some form of wiggle.  Perhaps some road that follows the South Saskatchewan river, somewhere north east of Saskatoon?  :dunno:

Find a really big parking lot?
Trade the bike in for a Dual Sport?  :dunno:
