in the last few days, when im aproaching a stop light, and im gentley gearing down to get to the neutral, i have a new one between the 2nd and 3rd gear.
what can be the trouble?
btw - the bike is an 04 model with 6000 miles on the clock.
this is a false neutral. Basically a spot between the two gears. The thing you want to do to not hit this is firmly downshift, don't stomp on it but rather firmly press the shift lever all the way down through the complete downshift. This should keep you from laning in that false neutral.
PS : it really isn't a problem unless you hear grinding and such, but i wouldn't use this new found gear.
quit kitty cat footing your shifts, your your tranny's going to end up like a whore on sunday morning. loose and all used up.
