Title: Corpse Bride
Post by: Roadstergal on October 28, 2005, 09:12:47 AM
Fun.  Not as good as A Nightmare Before Christmas, though.  The main characters are just not as colorful as those in NBC; they're almost standards.  The accessory characters are terrific.  The claymation is fantastic.  The songs aren't as well-integrated as in NBC.  The ending is predictable.  I'd say it's well worth watching, but in a second-run theater or on video.

Did anything else come out this weekend?

BTW, I got dragged to "Elizabethtown" on a date Tuesday night.  It is a really good movie.  I'd say a half a notch above Garden State.

Yeah, I got dragged along to that movie with my girlfriend too. I really enjoyed it as well. Very well worth it. I had a pulled pork barbeque sandwich with my movie at the thater, which made the movie all that much better.

I highly recommend seeing Elizabeth town. I went in not knowing much @ all about it but it was pretty good. Had kind of a Garden State feel to it. I'm going to catch it again, and I'm one that never watchs a movie twice.

We've got +3 males enjoying Elizabethtown.  The world, as flat as it may seem, must be tipping off its axis.

Hey, RG, they have a Nightmare Before Christmas video game now!  X Box and PS2.

I loved the movie.. not nearly as good as NBC though, I agree... I was pissed that in the commercial, they played "what's this" from NBC, but then it wasn't in CB... dammit... I love that song...

i'll admit, i liked Elizabethtown too.  very good movie however kirsten dunst seemed a lil to over anxious which made it seem unbelieveable.  i mean who composes a travel map like that?  that musta taken over a week to make.  like 10 hrs a day
