Title: Communal Garage - DC area
Post by: Adam R on October 31, 2005, 04:31:05 PM
I have rented a garage in Arlington. If anyone wants or needs winter storage let me know. I have tools and will be setting up the garage to work on my bikes and cars.

I am interested in having no more than two tenants. I am asking $50 a month per bike to help cover heat and rent. I'll also be there most weekends and can give you a hand with repairs or maintenance. (I've had several GS500s)

Food? Dammit, I meant good.

I want a freakin' sandwich. No food open at my dorm at this hour either.

lmao... food/good... whichever... and yeah, I have to walk like 2 blocks to the BP... good thing it's only 47 here, and doesn't get REALLY cold... gotta love that Jawjuh weather! Even if there was food available on campus.. doubt I'd eat it.. usually sucks

USUALLY sucks? The only good food we have close to my dorm is the Wendys. I can't handle that much fat right now.

hah, I WISH there was a wendy's within walking distance... the only food round here is the BP, the dining hall (RETCH), and the food court at the student center (closes at like 4PM... rediculous? I think so)... and I'm a broke ass college kid... so no eating out often for me... oh well..

I kinda feel sorry for hijacking this guys thread, but he's got it duplicated in the For Sale area, so I don't feel too bad about it.

We have these things called Bevo Bucks alongside our Dine-In Dollars. The Bevo Bucks can be used at various food outlets around campus who accept them, as well as the vending machines on campus. We get $300 a year, and it is all kept track of through the little magnetic stripe on our Student I.D. Likewise for the Dine-In Dollars, whch can only be used at the dining halls in the dorms, as well as JCL (Imagine Wendys, but with more selections and not as tasty).

yeah, we can use our IDs in the vending machines, it's actually kinda nice..  stupid thing was though, I transferred $6K to my card, went down to the bursar, and tried to pay my tuition.. .they wouldn't take it... WTF is the purpose of a "debit card" that's good anywhere on campus, except in the school offices? I was pissed... so this semester, I'm definitely going to pay my tuition (roughly $5K) in singles... next year... quarters... then dimes... then nickels.. then pennies... then we'll see where it goes from there...

If you paid for your tuition (assuming exactly $5000) in quarters, it would weigh approximately 250 pounds.

how the hell do you know something like that?

Mass of a quarter is 5.670 grams. Multiply $5000 by 4, convert grams to pounds and there you go.

He can hate us all we want, or we can direct all the relevant responses to the For Sale section, where he has this repeated. Or people can PM him. We win, either way. This thread is ours, now!

Thread pirates!

Yarr!

He's from Asia, and he's a pirate.

The recommendation is ALWAYS a bazooka.
