Added a steal braided brake line last night. Had it made at a local shop, for $50, and installed it , and bled it last night, and it works great. I could feel the old line actually have some flex when i grabbed a handfull.

Geez, why didn't you just pay for it? :P :)
Pay for what, the install?
They wanted $55 to install.
And I have more time then money, so i did it myself.
Or were you talking about something else?

Just being a smartass.
There is a crisp, quik, strong bite that is instantanious. It is very confidence inspiring.
Next, new aftermarket clutch.
Yes, roadstergal, I will not pay someone else to do that, I will screw it up, I mean install it myself :) :thumb:

I've been thinking about steal break lines ( ) myself...
Seriously though, I'm getting tired of my GS's brakes... I'm guessing a braided line would help.
I'm pretty sure the thread has gone this far and he hasn't picked up on the fact that his spelling is being made fun of.
I'm diggin' the braided line!

Even if it is stolen.
just trying to highlight the obvious.
I've got some Galfer steel braided lines lying around in my garage and in my room. They were nice on the '92, so I guess I should go ahead and put them on the '04. Do you think it would be wise to put one on the rear brake, since I've just got it sitting around?
Damn it!
Steal, steel, stihl....
Thats what I get for posting that late at night.
Now I get it roadstergal... :nana:
Nothing gets by me
As for lines for the rear brake it is a little overkill, but if you got them, put them on they look great, and I am sure it will help a little.
Steel...... doh!
Helllloooo? Mcfly?
If I put the steel braided on the rear, what do you think the chances are of me locking it up more as opposed to benefiting from the extra feel and cosmetic looks of the new line?
it would lock up easyier so you would benefit but only in the fact that you will have to apply less pressure. In e-stop situations i have a bad tendancy to get on the rear brake to hard so i probably would go steel on the front and leave the rear alone.
