Alright, for bandwidth reasons, lets limit it to 600 pixels wide and only one picture per person.
There are some amazing bikes around here...lets throw them all together in one thread!

great pics everyone.
D-day - are your wheels painted? any better pics of them? looks great - I love the exhaust and solo tail as well.
D-Day has a VERY customized bike. I like the wheels. Did you do the undertail exhaust on your own, or is it a kit? Also, how do you like the feel of the clip-ons so far down? They seem like they might be a bit low below the headlight mounts.
Quote from: AlphaFire X5Also, how do you like the feel of the clip-ons so far down?
Hey Alpha... thinking about buying clip-ons, maybe? ;)

How could you tell?? I've been looking since about August 15, really.
With them so low like that I'd have issues with them hitting the tank at lock. That and them being SO low. I don't exactly want to be giving my tank a bear hug. I do want to be able to move around on the bike.
Dday if you have any pics of how you fabricated your undertail exhaust that would be awesome. Did you use stock headers?

I like that one, David. I think it would be kinda sad/funny seeing the next picture in the series being a big ass semi heading towards it, followed by another picture of the bike 15 feet in the air.

mk1 - how is it riding the bike on the left w/ the drag bars and what screen is on the bike on the right?
Quote from: BlazinjrD-Day i love the wheels on your bike.
Here is to the blue bikes out there.....
Thanks, they are a two step powdercoat, silver (near chrome) base with a translucent blue top coat. They really look great in direct sunlight.
MPA- It was better than the stock bars, lower obviously, and about an inch shorter bar I believe. Needed bar ends, and when it got backed into recently, I decided to try higher bars.
Found some cheap aluminum MX bars at CycleGear for 5 bucks more than the same drag bars, and thought I'd give it a shot.
Result: I like it a lot better with the MX bars. Of course, I grew up on a dirtbike (literally every weekend and 2-3 times a week we were out either practicing or racing from age 8-18), so it's much closer to what I am used to. Don't need bar-ends to dampen vibrations, the controls all fit better, and high/low speed maneuvers are much better and easier to make with the wider bars.
If you grew up on a street bike/this is a 2nd bike, I'd put drag bars on it, but I commute on mine and lanesplit almost constantly, so I like the extra control and won't go back. FWIW, I'm 6'6 with most of that being leg length and I've got goober-ass long arms too.
As for the flyscreen on the 01, I don't know what screen that is, it worked OK, that bike got transferred from the member aplitz to member Daniely, to another guy in Phoenix that isn't around anymore on this board. It wasn't much better riding with it than without it, but looked pretty good, IMO and was stable at freeway speeds anyway. More picts are in the link in my signature below.

you're right you won't find anyone selling it for $80. maybe for around $150 plus shipping from overseas.
i found this guy on ebay who were selling them. so i emailed him ask if he would be interested in selling 2 of them for $160 (one was for my friend). he agreed. it was shipped from uk. i did have to wait a couple of weeks to get it.

They're in the UK, but you could probably get them for under $100 shipped to your door. I've ordered a few things from them and never taken longer then a week to Ontario. They have great customer service as well. Matt is a main guy I've dealt with (not sure if it would help any, but feel free to say Rex menitoned).

Thanks guys, worked on the GS for a long time! I actually had flipped the tail light, then I took it off and put a R1 light in it, then I broke the R1 light and when I put the stocker back in never flipped it again. I hit a point that I worked on the bike so long I just wanted to ride it! So I proclaimed it "finished" and rode. Kinda getting the itch to get a bigger bike to mod now. I'm thinking about selling the GS, but I have so much time and money in it I'm gonna take a beating!

Amen! That's what happened to me on my track day. The GS just flew through corners like nothing else, but always got passed up in the straights. It's so satisfying overtaking a 2005 GSX-R1000 or a Ducati 749 on a piddly little air cooled n00b bike! :)
