So, important safety note:  when you put the sidestand down, make sure that it doesn't catch on your heel and come back up as you're leaning the bike over.  :o   I came very close to leaning the GS right over onto the ground at the gas station.

Thanks for the tip, I'll put that one right next to parking my bike in neutral on a slight down-slope. :(  That's how I dropped my bike (well the last time I dropped it)

Well at least you remembered to put it down to begin with! My wife completely forgot one time and wound up under her VLX, very embarrassed but thankfully unhurt.
