I ordered them and didn't like them :( The buckles were kinda cheap and clunky, toe box is on the narrow side.  Also runs a size small.

I suppose you're in for more of a work boot kind of look?

My girlfriend and I both were Sidis.  One New Enough you can get Vertebra 2's for $200.  I have the original Vertebra boots and they are great.  Good armor, comfortable (once an insole is added) and not bad to walk in.  She has the B one, which is cheaper.  She regrets not having gone for the Vertebra.  Plus, I have the Chromo boots.  Sweet Bling!!!!

I have a pair of Alpinestars Web Gortex.
Great boots.  More waterproof than most others.  Most others leak.
I have driven 5 hours in real heavy rain and they just start to get damp.
I put a waterproof sealer on the outside and that helps plenty.
Mine are starting to look real beat up after 2 1/2 years but they have about 25,000 miles on them and I love to shift.
My riding buddy got a pair of Tourmaster and sent them back.  They were brand new and full of water after 1 hour in a pouring rain,

I like the looks of those, maybe Santa will try and put them under the tree.

I also have a pair of Sidi Champions and i love em. Totally waterproof, easy on-off, nice sticky sole, very durable. Sizing is kind of peculiar, but a pair of Dr Scholls gel inserts can fine tune it. I've worn mine for three seasons now and they're still in great shape.

But are Icon, Sidi, AStars, etc warm? Is there a good pair of winter boots to keep my piggies warm? I would think the higher end boots are windproof or close to it depending on zippers etc?  :dunno:

All of the boots I have (Alpinestars Roam and SMX-3, Sidi Vertigo) are windproof.  Put on warm socks.

stay away from alpinestars. bought a pair about 13months ago(smax). all the back lining has fallen apart. I payed $450 aussie dollars for these pieces of crap ! i was told they are older than twelve months so thats my problem ! so alpine stars are only good if you have more money than sense !
my first pair of boots (Rossis) cost me $125 and last 2 and a half years.
so keep in mind price doesn't equal quality.
