Title: Dr. Who geeks...
Post by: Roadstergal on November 08, 2005, 10:19:07 PM
Anyone have Invasion of Time?  I lost a number of tapes in all of the sheeot that went down earlier this year, and I'm missin' that one.  I'll pay for the dupe and shipping and a 6-pack of beer - or trade you one of the ones that I have.

I dont have any on tape, but I have copies of almost everything on my computer. Im sure ive got it somewhere. I could host it somewhere so you can download it.

Have you seen any of the newer ones yet?

Ooooh, fantastic!

I've seen one episode of the New Who.  I rather like it - it retains the geeky charm of the old.  That Doctor (I think he's changed already) has a Clive Owen-ish appeal.

Sorry RG. I've got over 25 VHS of DW, but not that one. Most were recorded from broadcast. My kids grew up with a steady diet of DW, Transformers (new movie coming out), mucho SciFi.

No wonder they are weird...not like Alice Cooper or Marilyn Manson weird, but definitely nontraditional. <eye tears up,  "sniff sniff">

Missing anything else?

My oldest son works at a comic book store and says they may have the new DW...um....in the untraditional retail section of the store.

the new season was fantastic, IMO.  not without its weak spots, but very good overall.  i believe the DVD boxed set is coming out this month.

i'd suggest finding a good bit torrent client.  i personally use azureus.  that's how i've gotten most of my Dr. Who stuff.  friend of mine has all but two extant episodes of Dr Who.  i happen to have the other two (Inferno and The Rescue).

btw, i also have Invasion of Time if zukiGS500 can't find it.

definitely looking forward to the next season, which will include the return of Elizabeth Sladen.

I liked Lalla Ward and Louise Jameson best.

Lalla Ward is just cute as a button.  i have always had a big crush on Romana II.
