i was at the local mega-mall last night around dinner time, the place was a ghost town. plenty of parking, nice and peaceful.
i probably won't return until february. i won't even go down the main road where the mall is, all backroads for me.
during the holidays suburbia is at its' worst.
My office is located at a mall. It's pretty cool during the non holiday season, we have a movie theater on the first floor, but really starts sucking in about two weeks. There is zero parking, even the spots that are dedicated to the offices. :x It is kinda fun watching all the shoppers get there cars towed for parking in reserved spots though...
possibly the coolest thing about being a permanent resident in a BFE college town like State College is that during the holidays everybody LEAVES. IT IS AWESOME... great parking everywhere. Shopping mall, BestBuy, Circuit City, etc... all for ME!!!
It looks like another Online Christmas for me! Click, order, wait for presents to arrive on my doorstep!
I despise Christmas shopping... and the good stuff is never in the stores anyways!
(Turkina wants a Transformer for Christmas... one of those Alternator things)

same here in bburg, especially the summer! :thumb:
I avoid the crowds at the malls by not buying stuff for anyone... Then a day or two before X-Mas, I get something for my wife.
There is nothing better than a motorcycle in a crowded mall. Park in a place where a car can't, run in, get your stuff, leave. I pick up my sister's cosmetics when I'm in the area - I park right in front of the Nordstrom's doors, and because I'm wearing a helmet, they don't try to trap me with a makeover. 2 minutes, tops.
