Title: mirror stalk threads / RAM mounts
Post by: jiggersplat on November 11, 2005, 04:49:50 PM
anyone know what size the threaded section of the mirror stalks are?

i want to get a RAM mirror mount.  they are either 11mm (RAM-B-252) or 9mm (RAM-B-272).  i have the '89 clipons so there's no room for the regular u-bolt handlebar mount.

thanks,
dan

they are the standard Japanese 10 mm.   don't they have a 800 number to call?

i doubt they would  know about our motorcycles.  anyway, if it's 10mm threads, then obviously the 9mm is not going to work.  if you've seen them, it's just the ball end of a ball and socket joint attached to a plate with a hole.  you put the mirror stalk through the hole and tighten it down.  i'll get the 11mm.

thanks
