Title: What is the stock carburator adjustments
Post by: kennien on November 12, 2005, 10:22:33 AM
Hi

I have removed my V&H , K&N and my jetkit, .It got too loud.

I wonder how to set up my carb`s ?

It runs pretty good, but it`s unstable at idle.
How many turns is the air/fuel-mixture orginally ?

Everything is back to orginally now..

Greetings from Norway !!

Welcome!

What year model?

If it's an '89-'00 Stock maybe 1.5 turns out on the mixture screws, but it will run better with 2.5 to 3 turns out. Size 40 pilot jets, 125 main jets. Ideally, the needle should be shimmed up .5mm - 1mm.

If it's an '01-03, it has #15 pilot jets, 127.5 main jets, and 60 mid mains. Stock is something like 2.25 turns, but it runs better at 3 turns out.

If it's an '04+, #15 pilots, 60 mid mains, 130 mains, and 2.25 ish for the air/fuel screw. It runs better with the screw at 3 turns out, though.
