"This is Onstar, how can I help?"

"Hey!  I just ran over a moose.   I think he's ok.  He's stumbling around.  But now my espresso machine won't work!"

"Stay calm.  There is a Starbucks 1.3 miles north of your position..."

As I said before, it also doubles as a barf bag.

Next a set of training wheels will pop out of the hard bags when going around corners so you don't lay them down.

Uh yeah...  More like 10-20...

I have 52 within 2 miles of my house.  One is three blocks from my house...  and another one is one block from that one.  It's just wrong... So very very wrong.

And the ipod is over-priced and over-valued...

I think they suck...

But, what do I know...  I don't even drink coffee...  But, I take solace in the fact that if I started drinking coffee, I have 52 Starbucks within 2 miles of me.

Dang... from where I work there are:
8 within 2 miles
17 within 5 miles
28 within 10 miles
45 within 20 miles and
49 within 50 miles.

That surprises me... I expected that as the radius doubled with each step (roughly), the number of Starbuck would increase fourfold (pi * r^2)... but it barely doubles!  Is Austin not as trendy as everyone thinks it is?

(p.s. I hate the taste of coffee, but love the smell... go figure)
Title: fourbucks
Post by: The Buddha on November 17, 2005, 09:37:15 AM
Fourbucks burns their cofee to give people the illusion it is stroner and a more exotic variety that it really is. From the greatest connoiseur of coffee and chocolate I know (my wife). I can tell somehting is off with it, just not exactly what. The best coffee in Charlotte is available at some Sams Mart Gas stations and it is one hell of a nice espresso made with a giant espresso machine. Best of all its $1.49 for 20 oz.
Charlotte has a few competetors for Starbucks. There is Caribou coffee which is decent, except usually there is some grounds that get into the cup, and There is Bear rock, Lava Java, Java Joe and some others too. All in all not just all starbucks all the time. BTW Loooooong time favorite of mine from the west coast was Tully's. I believe they were previously called Seattle's best coffee.
Cool.
