Two weeks ago it was in the lower 80's now its barely cracking the mid 50's. I hate the South some years we go right from Summer to Winter. Its 45 out right now and my skinny self is FREEZIN!

It was 70 a few days ago and now it snowed this morning, so I don't feel sorry for you
thats Ohio weather for you
Tuesday it was 68-70 and last night it was snowing a little. We still have some light flurries.
Time to start working on the car 8)
Guess it is all relative... It was 48F on the ride in to work this morning, and my knees got chilly but that was about it. I have a good jacket, though... Joe Rocket Tahoe with liner.
I am a Montana boy transplanted to Texas, so that might have something to do with it, too.
It's been in the high 70's (at times 80) in the SF bay area...we're having a heat wave! I used my summer jacket today! w00t!
I rode in this morning Ash, you need to suck it up. :) It was pretty dang cold at 35 but I did it. And you don't have to ride on the interstate to get to school.
Oh noes! Not the mid 50s! Save us from the mid 50s!
Hello....It's SNOWING AS WE SPEAK!!
PFF, I'd take 50's anyday
I'll trade ya'll mid 50's and snow for region destroying hurricanes. Shut up cheryl you can kiss my but, I actually take my bike over 35mph. its alot colder at 55+ and just cuz i take University the whole way doesnt mean i dont hit interstate speeds. ;) You should come by and check out the scooter and cruiser that came in last week.

It's not cold yet! It hasn't gotten below 0. (Last night it was 15F)
Waiting for snow... :)
Jeeze, I know what you mean. It's like we don't even have seasons. It hit 90 a few days ago (I had to bust out the MESH gear!) and last night it was low 30s. I had to ride home in that. I was SO cold. I'm not used to that crap, especially since I don't have super good cold weather gear. My leather jacket wasn't good enough, and my gloves didn't do a very good job of keeping my hands warm, either. :(
I was resting my hands ON the engine block after a while, and they were STILL numb.
As the temperature has dropped, I've adopted something like this to try and stay comfortable:
>85: cool off regularly, stay hydrated, air out gear afterward.
80: occasionally stop to take off jacket and cool down
75: keep moving to stay ventilated
70: dress lightly, be comfy.
65: close the vents on jacket
60: put the lining in jacket
55: long sleeves
50: winter weight gloves
45: add wool layer under jacket
40: keep neck covered
35: don't take long trips
<30: take the car
I ride till temps reach freezing. They are there now. I am terrified of black ice on my little GS.
It got to 26 just a few hundred miles north.
It sucked, my nuts where frozen, and I stuck my right hand under the carbs just so I could feel the cluch engagement point.
Tomarrow will be just as bad, but I didn't buy this thing to keep my tool boxes company.
I don't know how cold was this morning, but I decided to take the backroads and go slow. even with this, I had to stop some 7 miles away from work and warm my hands against the engine for a minute.
at least we have a very good heater on the bikes
Hey don't get mad at me. Some how I can tough out the 30s that we have been having going 80, but you can't handle 55mph. If you hit interstate speeds on University you are just waiting to be caught. :nono: I just got back from a two month deployment to Biloxi, but I'll try to get a chance to check those out.
It was about 42 this morning... Not too bad with the right gear...
But, I don't have that far to go...
Sounds like subc needs to install some Hand Guards (http://www.gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22110) and get some winter gloves (http://www.gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21314&highlight=coldfront).
yeah;it was pretty cold here in the Triangle thi morning too. But being a Chitown Native, im used to the cold.
