Title: So happy with my GS500e!! (First time rider!)
Post by: tussey on November 17, 2005, 04:18:58 PM
I just got off my second attempt at trying to ride my gs500. The first time I made it about 7 feet before braking too hard and losing control resulting in a gentle laydown. This time I took it alot slower and eneded up riding my bike all over my aparment complex for 15 minutes. I'm so happy!!! It was so liberating!!! I love my gs500!! Well enough out of me but I just wanted to share with other people how enjoyable my first ride was and how happy I am right now!!

At least you made it 7 feet! The first time I was getting ready to go on my first ride on my first GS I walked it out of the garage and promptly managed to drop it on the ground. Case guards are awesome.

MSF.  That'll help with the 7-foot laydowns.  :)

The MSF is a GREAT course. He's right.

Didn't help me when I dropped mine, though!

The MSF is especially great if you've never ridden before.  It's designed to take you from absolute zero to knowing how to ride.  It worked for me.

Hell, even if you've had years of riding experience it can teach you a lot. My dad's been riding for 40 years now; he took and and was surprised how much he learned.
