Hey, I am new to this forum and I have been reading around and searching for an answer to this question but I came up empty handed. I just got a 05 GS500f and I saw some threads on different handlebars. My main question is does anyone have any pictures of a bike with superbike bars and compared to the regular stock bars?
I don't have a pic right now, but I have the superbike bars from Arizona Motorsports. They are only like 13 bucks. They are about the same width and pullback as stock, but a little lower than stock. They are a good fit for me between the stockers and the drag bars which put too much pressure on my wrists.

How much lower do they sit compared to the stock bars? If you had to compare to a differnt bike which would it be compared to? I like the look and feel of the low bars like the R6... Would it be comparable to it?
there's a company called www.flandersco.com I think and their website lists all the various pullback and rise of the various bars, including stock, for lots of bikes, gs500 included. You can compare there as a backup until someone posts a good picture.
due to a mishap i change my bars form drag to superbike before the BWtrack day...man i feel like im on a cruiser...i was like jsut strollin in the track...never had the stock bars though (ithink daytona bars were installed by the PO)...but the superbike bars a fairly low, very relaxed position for all around commuting and no clearance issue...just changed mine again to drag...my poor wrist....but i feel sportier and faster with it..hopefully itll last until my SOW trackday
do you have any pics of the drag bars on your bike?

go figure with the drag... no better pix..
I have had both the Drag and superbike bars. you can see some pictures of the drag bars I had in this thred (http://www.gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21018) but I ended up changing the bars to the superbike ones because I couldent turn my lever down far enough. IMO the superbike bars are a happy medium between the drag and stock bars.

oh yeah...the brake lever position stuck in high position....oh well...i feel the bike more responsive in handling input with the drag.. :dunno:
Here are my SM bars:

They give the bike a much sportier feel.
SM2 bars are really nice. I'll be getting mine in a month or so! People on the FZ1 board love them.
Another vote for SM bars rigtht here, I love mine!
I can see it in my mind. . . Ah, yes. tdan.
Okay, this might be helpful. <swaggers around room>

drags are cool for me...2 for $25...as i seem to NEED to change my handlebar a lot
I Just ordered my superbike bars from azmotorsports... they took 3 or 4 weeks to send them because they were moving... but they accidentally sent me 2 ;)

I have also been considering the drag bars. I've just been wondering if the stock mirrors would work with them???
Which bars are better... The sm type 1 or 2? I really like the look of that bar.

stock would work but looks odd coz the lever on mine is not on the same angle (brake lever stuck into one position hittin the dash & the clutch is agled downward)...so adjustment is necessary
