After the case guards on eBay jumped to $76 plus shipping, I said, "Screw it. For a 2 point mount, I am not paying that much." Thankfully I was able to find these beauties with some online hunting. They are three point case guards mounting to all three engine mounting bolts.

Only negative thing about them is the price. They are $110 plus shipping, which came out to $120 for me. However, for a three point guard that looks great and is actually AVAILABLE, I went for it. As soon as I get them I'll post a full review and instalation with pictures and everything.
OK you'd have to find out how to support the motor ... you undo 3 of the 4 that hold the thing in place and it will pivot itself out of the right location ...

Uh.. Srinath, it mates with the motor. It's got bolts that mount the case guard to the engine and the engine to the frame, just like the 2-point ones from Suzuki.
Yup ... it does ... bolts to the frame with longer than stock bolts ... yea familiar with the concept ... If you remove 3 of the 4 that hold the motor to the frame, the motor will swivel out of its place ... ask kerry if you want ...

Um.... wouldn't you just undo the nuts, place the guard on the nut side, slide out one bolt, replace that bolt with a new one, inserting it from the side that now has the guard... and repeat two more times? Slap on the second guard, apply nuts and tighten. :dunno:

Yeah... you put it on one bolt at a time, not taking all 3 out at once. Duh. :nana: :nana:
With the 2 point mount, you could swing the crash bars out of the way while putting in the first bolt. With the 3 point one, you have to take 2 bolts out after mounting the bars to the first mount point. The bars won't swivel out of the way in order to remove the remaining engine mounting bolt when you have 2 installed in the crash guards.
Or you could just do one side at a time, and as you remove the engine mounting bolt from one side, you slide in the new bolt from the other :thumb: so the engine will never be unsupported at any time...
You could just put the bolts in loose enough to allow the guard to move and the engine to be supported.
I've got a jack I can use if anything arises. I'll live. They do look nice though, don't they? I'm glad I'll have them by the time I get to the track next month.

Still not seeing the problem.... you remove all of the nuts from one side of the bike. The guard on that side goes into place. You remove one bolt. Now install the new bolt through the guard FIRST, then though the bike. That is, inserting the new bolt in the opposite direction of the old bolt. Repeat two more times.
Now one guard is in place, the other is not. On the side without the guard, there are now the three new bolts sticking out without nuts. Attach the remaining guard by sliding it on those blots. Install nuts.
Am I missing something?

Yeah, that's what i am thinking too. It might be hard to wiggle that last mounting bolt out with the others even on loosely...
these are the bars I got as well... after quite a bit of sweating managed to remove two nuts... and stripped the last one :x :x :x :x so $120 spent and I still don't have protection on my bike.. now it has to wait till I figure out a nice way to remove the damn nut :(

OK I beleve that pushing the bolt out with the new bolt idea will work ... I forgot, but I never have fitted 3 bolters ... 2 bolts you can yank those out no problem ...

True, dat... when I bought my bike the PO removed the 2-bolt case guards and forgot to put the bolts back in. Luckily, I only drove a mile or so before I noticed that two of the four bolts were missing! :o
