Post by: diamond_lady on November 22, 2005, 11:14:10 AM
Been at the italian motorcycle exposition on friday.... there were soooooooo many wonderful bikes there, I almost went crazy  8)
Took tons of pics, here are some. Please excuse me for the shitty/blurry picsw, but there was a lot of people standing always in front of the bikes...  :x
Best thing was you were able to sit on most of them (and I sat on EVERY bike I was allowed to   )
Hope you like 'em!

MV Agusta: the fabolous F4

Hmm. The Monster... There is someone in the states with a tank just like that, except red.

The MV Agusta Brutale is a bit more comfortable to sit on than the F4. It's got a shorter reach to the tank and the bars are tube-style, so it's easier to each in that sense too. The F4 is a pain to sit on when you're not moving. Like at a stoplight, for example, the way your legs are when they are down is very uncomfortable. As soon as you get your feet up and onto the pegs it feels like a dream. It's got a LOOONG reach to the bars, though. The lips on the tank make hugging it with your legs simplistic and surprisingly comfortable.

I kinda like the GSR.  It has the angular look that I dig in the K1200R.

Dija see the F800ST?  That's the other one that I'm liking.

Great pics!  Thanks for sharing!  Every one is just drool-worthy.

Mmm... I kinda liked it, but I changed my mind when I saw it: too short, it looks too heavy in my opinion. It doesn't have such a particular or special design, it's quite 'anonymous'. But hey this is my opinion   Did you see the new Guzzi Griso?
By the way, I saw the F800. Great bike, nothin' to say...
If you like this look I guess you'd love the Aprilia Tuono (I posted the pic). Lovely lovely bike...pics don't make her justice (btw... 2 cylinders, 1000 cc, 2  wonderful and biiiiig exhausts.... I'm in love!   )
Oh and you should also dig the new FZ1 (see pic below...grrrr...sorry for that stupid bi@#h sittin' on it!)

I understand what you say. But I prefer low bars (as on my GS, it's a '91). It takes a little time to get used to but then it's more fun riding.
I don't like high bars, like Corsaro's (look the last pics below).
This is just for you....dream on....

Yes! Btw, most comfy bike of all: the new Monster S4R....  :thumb:

Ok....something more....
Wonderful wonderful absolutely wonderful Bimota's DB5

Hayden's RCV

Sittin' on the Corsaro....see..I hate high handlebars, it forces you in a strange position

I like upright for long rides, so that works for me.  I do like the Tuono.  :)  But now that I see the Corsaro again - that's growing on me.  I'd need a lot more disposable income, though!

Yeah, I'm a fan of lower bars as well. The F4 was more comfortable while sitting on it as if you were riding it, the Brutale was more comfortable for sitting like you're at a stoplight. The Brutale seems like a good around town bike, just with excessive mind-crunching power. I got so many pictures of the F4s at the motorcycle show when it was here. I think the F4 is arguably one of the most beautiful bikes ever.

Don't know your income.... but it costs 12000 euros (I think 14000 $ or so...)  :o .But I believe it's worth it. Look at the engine pics below (the 'corsacorta') and start saving your money.
If you have 5 minutes of spare time, look at this http://www.aprilia.com/portale/eng/download_video.phtml I bet you'd like it :thumb:
I agree for long rides, but talking about upright handlebars, I prefer this, definitely (compare it to the corsaro pic): more natural, a little more bent.

I DO agree!!!!!!!  :thumb:  :thumb:  :thumb:
It's a piece of art.

Sorry Jetswing, I tool only two pics of the GSR because there was too much people hangin' around it... and the one above is the best of the two  :dunno:

I think I would like the Cosaro better for going downhill. The arms would be bent to keep the weight off the bars.

anyway, it's just my opinion.... I felt very strange in that position, I wasn't comfortable with my back.
if I had a Corsaro (but I don't....  :(  :( ) I'd probably lower the handlebar. Looks just like a simple thing to do.

It does look like your legs are too far back to support you upper body. The footpegs almost look like they're behind you!

Yeah, some sweet bikes. I love the Italians but the FZ1 and R1 look pretty good too. I was fortunate enough to be able to take the Ducati S2R out for a test ride   and it was pretty sweet and handeled better than any bike I have ever ridden, although I must say that I was a little disapointed with the power. That's where the S4R or R1 come in!

I can understand what you say, it's such a comfortable bike.
But I have a friend who test-rode the S4R two weeks ago and he told me it's like a crazy horse!! Unbelievable power.... you need to be an expert and skilled biker to fully enjoy it   ;)

My brother wants the ST2 instead of the ST4 so that he can work on it himself without dedicating too much time to it.

I test-rode one ST2 he's looking at, and it has more than enough power for the street.  The ergos are clearly for someone bigger than I am, though.

Here the ST2 is known as a reliable bike, simple to work on (if you need to....). It's more 'S' than 'T'.... like you said, more than enough power for the street, ver enjoyable.

This weekend  here in Italy is the open weekend for ducati's Sport classic and Paul Smart.... I'm so tented... I'd like to try the sports classic.
