he is a baby red oscar...I have had him only a week and he will let me pet him. 8)
wait till he gets bigger and will go after you finger because he things it is a gold fish. Oscars are cool, i had one and it got huge.
I had two oscars, they were cool, its fun to watch them swallow a godfish. But the things were dumb as all hell. Multiple times they jumped out of the tank when I opened the top to feed them.
And this is my girl millie just after I brought her home.

Unfortunately I don't have time to properly care and train a dog right now. Our neighbors Border Collie "Katie" comes over quite often to keep me company when I'm outside messing around. This dog would fetch sticks or balls and drop them at your feet ALL day if you let her. Very intelligent, loyal, and well trained with strong herding instincts (lives on a farm too). Second pic is Annie, same neighbors dog, can't remember the breed but she is a big baby and likes to whine sometimes when you talk to her. Good dog though.

This is a sad topic for me as we lost one of our dogs Saturday. Honey was our yellow lab and it appears she died in her sleep on the kitchen floor.
The worst part was my wife found her when she came in from grocery shopping. She was one of the sweetest most meek animals, she will be missed very much.
Our black lab Chester is very lonely now, he just lays around in his bed.
Having some trouble hosting pictures right now, but once that is fixed I will post up some photos.
I'm sorry ECB. :(
We adopted from a shelter at 8 months old, named him Sam for "Separation Anxiety Mutt". He is sweet and sensitive and loves his time down at the dog park with his buddies.
im sorry to hear that EBC..
amanda where is ur mutt?
This is Haley my yellow lab...if I get out of bed at night to do anything, she hops right in there and keeps my spot warm. Then she pretends to sleep when I walk back in the room.

Sorry for the huge white part....I'm not sure how to cut it out. Anyone who can-go ahead!
Does she always turn the TV over to "Animal Planet" and "K9 Resuce"? Yeah. Thought so.
You should at least take the remote with you when you get up.
She doesn't really have a name. Answers to "Hey!" "Yo!" "Yo dog!" or any combination of the above. Breed - junkyard dog.

Sorry to hear about Honey, I lost my pup last year. It's pretty tough.
Here is some pictures of him.
Waiting to go rabbit hunting.

I didn't rip up the paper.

Sleeping with his buddy.

A little older at the cabin.

His name was Fertilizer (Shortname Fert), and he was the best dog ever. :( We all miss him very much.
Currently have three dogs, a Golden Retriever (Nugget), a German Shorthair (Macy) and a beagle pup (Nipper). I'll try to look up a picture of them.
GeeP that is an awesome picture of your dog! He looks fierce :thumb:

I love dogs. I miss mine all the time but when I get home I will post pics of her and Oatey is cute!!!!
I've got a cat that acts like a dog. Whenever I get into bed he'll jump up there to get pet. He'll chill with me when I watch movies, runs up to me when I get to the door and, surprisingly enough, comes when I call him.

Thanks! how cute is my little Buddha Loves You?? ^
Finally got the pics uploaded. The first one is Honey, she looks alot like your "cute little Buddha Loves You" Amanda. The second one is Chester, who is still very sad, just lays around in his bed.

Didn't teach them, Fert always snuggled up to the older dog right from the beginning. Here is another "spooning" pic of them...

These pictures are from 1989 when he was a pup. We just lost him this past spring. He was a really cool dog, best dog I've ever had. :(

Is Lacey a Shiba Inu? My dad got a Shiba puppy named Yogi a few months before he died. Yogi lives with my stepmother now, he's a pretty cool dog. If you can get him to stand still for more than three seconds he looks like a statue. No matter what you do to that dog, every hair on his body sits perfectly, his tail curls just right, and his ears sit perfectly symmetrical. It's so funny!
This is my dog, Savannah - she's an australian shepherd. She was a rescue...I was supposed to be a "foster home, for just 2 or 3 weeks". They just left her with me, but I fell in love with her. She's a sweetheart, loves people, great with kids, HATES anything on four legs though! She was unfortunately abused and had lots of problems when she came to me - missing teeth, broken paw, hip problems, heartworms, you name it. It's been three years now and only her hip and paw give her occasional trouble. My ten year old stepson loves her to death...and since my wife isn't working right now and is home to walk and spoil the dog the dog during the day she has forsaken me and started sleeping on the floor on my wife's side of the bed! Grrummblle... At least she still hangs out with me in the garage when I'm wrenchin'!

Gracie - The day after Luna died my wife went back to the rescue and found her in the exact same crate as Luna was in when she was a puppy. She came home that day. This is the only dog that likes me more than she likes my wife.

Oscar (aka Bubba) - Bubba is a bastard. My wife found him about 8 years ago in a ditch dying of dehydration and malnutrition. This dog has severe issues and really only likes my wife in the whole entire world. You'll note in this pic that my backyard looks like a mine field. That's his handiwork. THis summer he dug a tunnel into the side of the hill that was waist deep. Bastard.

Daisy Mae. She is part pug and part boston terrier = a Bug. We got her in April. She thinks she is a cat, which is weird because out 15 year old cat Alex died in February. He's a Bloodhound and Blue-Heeler mix. Sister's co-worker has a friend who's neighbor's dog got loose and had himself a fun night. Ended up with 7 puppies and gave them all away for FREE!
No idea what to expect in terms of size and appearance. So far he has the Blue-Heeler's coat, by paws I'm placing him at Heeler size, but maybe a bit stockier. He's also got a slightly shorter snout, no idea if he'll have floppy or perky ears yet, but they aren't Bloodhound length.
Litter-mates were mostly all larger, and they had total @$$hole demeaners. This one is pretty chill, so far.
He's also showing evidence of good mental acuity, and no major separation anxiety so far. I'm thinking it's going to be a great dog.
After literal hours he already associated the kennel with his bed and he goes in on his own to nap.
He has pee accidents but he DID go to the door when he had to poop. Coincidence, or evidence of association? He had peed outside a few times to high praise before then.
Too soon to tell, one day is hard to judge anything by.
Currently 6-weeks old, probably 8-10 pounds.
Named him Archer.
Not after the show, though. Niece got me thinking cosmic based on his coat and he's a Sagittarius (born on Thanksgiving!).
So... Archer...
The resident dog, a 3 year old "Chorkie" named Howard, isn't happy.
Hes not being aggressive, but is actively avoiding interaction as well as he can.
He was cautious at first, then playful, but he was being too intense so we kind of stopped him. Archer was sleepy and kind of dazed out from the car ride anyway. Once Archer had gotten some energy Howard wasn't in the mood any longer.
Howard did snarl once at the food bowl (we have separate food and water bowls for them), but I shut him down really fast so hopefully it's no hard feelings.
He's a good dog but he can be a total jerk to other dogs in the complex. Maybe this will be good, he'll get used to company and won't constantly posture to other dogs when he's out using the lawn.
Resident dog looks @ archer as competing for your affections. Usually they get over this. 😁

As expected. It's still kind of hilarious to watch.
awe lookit how darling he is!!! I love the coloring and his name ^_^
After just a day he seems to be correlating the porch/outside with potty. He walks to the door and when we let him out he poops. 3/3, no solids in the house.
Pee is another issue. At weeks old he might just have poor control, but he piddles in the house. Once he went to the door and we opened it and he started to go on the threshold, so he might understand and just couldn't make it.
We left him outside until he got bored and laid in the corner, upon bringing him back in he piddled on the rug. UGH!
He knows his crate is his. Usually crate training is a whole mess but he took to it like a fish to water. Put a towel in there and placed him in it while he was sleepy. Ever since he goes in on his own when he's tired.
Easy.

He's a cutie, Watcher.
My wife got our dog (my first dog), Tiger, from the humane society in 2011. He was 4 when we first adopted him, so he's getting up there in age. He's been a sweetheart as long as he's been a part of our family. Incredibly mellow, easygoing, and great with our kids. Not so much a fan of other dogs, and he essentially ignores the cat's existence. He loves the snow.

Thanks! No idea what he's mixed with. I think he's got a touch of chow because he's got some purple spots on his tongue. But he's mostly lab for sure. And he acts like a lab, except he's never much cared for toys. He does like to eat leather, though. I learned that the hard way. He ate the hide off my autographed Johnny Bench baseball that I left out on the table after showing off to some friends one night. And he ate all of the laces out of the baseball glove I got for my first Father's Day. We didn't talk for a couple of days haha! Otherwise he's the best dog in the world lol.

Ouch! That sucks!
I've been lucky with dogs. Had a chocolate lab when I was in middle/high school and she never went after furniture or anything except what we gave her. Even as a puppy I don't remember her being curious about what the couch tasted like or anything.
The resident Chorkie here, Howard, same deal. Never really chewed anything except his toys...
I take that back, for some reason he hates black flats so my sister has to be sure she closes her closet, though, LOL! No other shoes, just black flats!
A friend of mine had a chow and later some kind of a pit mix and neither of them were really chewy either, to my knowledge.
So far Archer is trying to nibble on the couch and carpet, and he's stubborn about it, but he's so little it's basically impossible to be destructive.
Ugh, toys everywhere! Soft toys, hard toys, fuzzy toys, bony toys, rope toys, chewy toys, squeaky toys, what is essentially really hard beef jerky for dogs toys, and a 3 year old Chorkie to annoy, but the loose fabric under the couch is the most entertaining thing in the room!

She is spoiled, I'll admit (she only drinks bottled water or water from a Britta pitcher):

But her and my son are 2 peas in a pod.

My sisters jack russel/boxer mix is incredibly stupid, tater (his name) which i nicknamed Deuce, because hed try to eat his own shiite when id put him in the kennel outside. lol. but his love for me/us is pure. a cats love is same. although it comes differently. anyways, to the OP, your puppy is gorgeous lol. he will learn piddle control with time. tater did.

My dog looks kinda funny. She loves to play fetch though.

LOL!!! Wants to be a dog by playing fetch :thumb:
@Rich, that pic with your son is adorable
My cat, Samson, used to play fetch. He had wild blood, though, he was a Savannah Cat. I ended up giving him away, he belongs to a good friend now.
Here he is chilling under my desk near the electric heater. That apartment was awful in the winter...

Okay so we all unanimously decided that "Archer" sucks!
Everyone ruined it! Nobody can get past the cartoon!
"Aww, cute puppy! What's the name?"
"Archer"
"DANGER ZONE!"
"Ugh..."
So does anyone have any good name suggestions?
We prefer "people" names, not stuff like "Oreo" or "Rex".
I gave my hamster a people name, named after my hero and icon, Anthony Edward Stark. Also, Archer is epic.
He looks like a Dan to me.

Puppies are almost always very cute, which I think is a survival trait for when the little buggers chew every expensive thing in sight. However, they soon get past that stage and become adorable dogs. I believe dogs are the only animals that love you more than they love themselves. The only downside of having a dog is that you cannot train it to ride pillion. I know you can get dog baskets, but only for smaller dogs: mine is 75lbs. I think I need a sidecar!
And he looks like this:

Anything is possible. Google "Motokat" and you cannot train cats. cats train you. imho. it is a cat riding upon the tank of to beat all a gs500e. you would have to do several things first. modify the seat so the dog doesnt slide off on either side. and kill the impulsiveness to jump off when you would come to a stop. course theyd be sitting on their crown jewels too so idk. lol.

There's a local rider that does this. Not sure what he rides but it's an older sport-tourer with a top-box and a "cushy" pillion so the dog doesn't really have to ride paws on shoulders like that.
I'd love to take a dog by bike but I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I ever got into a crash with the pup onboard. And I'd probably get arrested if someone ever hit me like that...
There's a guy locally that rides with his bird. He's got a tether of some sort that ties down to his handlebars, and the bird just chills on his arm or whatever. I've seen him at bike night a couple of times...probably much more feasible than bringing your dog or cat along for a ride.
Here's a photo I found online of his bike with the bird.

Our little guy is named Franklin now.
He seems to like it, you yell "Fwankwin!" and he cocks his head and comes flopping towards you.
Or maybe it's how we say it.
Either way, we got a good name now.
I THINK its how its said.try different names using this method. This works with my dog anyways.

One of my favourite pictures of dogs in transit (sadly not on a motorcycle):
