This is just a shot of the band, we have 200 something members. It changes every year
well that is my band, all you probably don't care but at least I am one post closer to 500!
BAND GEEKS!!!
At least you weren't a jock. :thumb:
Hey, be careful where you say that! There is 200 of us and one of you
You gonna hit me with your flute. :nana:
I'm in a ROCK band... I win.
Man, I really miss playing in the jazz band. I played in it from 7th grade through the very first part of 12th, but collapsed my lung and couldn't play for the rest of the year. You should switch to bari, it's SOOOO much more fun.
I was in band, jazz band, and show choir back-up band. I was a drum major and played alto and tenor sax. I was a jock too!!! When I was a senior we had 169 members.

No, we will hit you with our tubas :)

I have considered switching to a tenor but that would mean using a school horn and that would be dumb. Besides, my case is the coolest.
yeah, just wait till I bean you in the head with a football.
Dave I would catch the football!!! :P :P :P
the feathers on our hats will protect us! :P

they do, but I call them feathers because that is what they are
And it sucks when they get wet!!!!
What really sucks is when the gloves get wet from the rain and it is cold outside.
Lets just say your hand are numb for about two and a half hours
Yeah and how come the uni's are super hot in the summer and dreadfully cold in the winter!!!!
:dunno:
Hey Mr.7, want to buy MY tenor? I don't play it anymore, sadly.

Me neither!!! When I was a drum major I got to wear pallazzo pants and whore boots.
You're red in the face in pic 1.
My music teacher used to kid me by saying that was a sign I wan't practicing enough. She was right too.
Either I am really sunburnt or the camera is crappy, I can't tell

I'm with RVertigo on this. I didn't play in the high school band, but I was in a punk/rock band while I was in high school. I played guitar :thumb:
I played in a high school band, and a rock band. I miss both.
The strange thing is that I got more umm............well............ female attention on the band bus than back stage.
Band geeks got more than a lot of football players I knew.
:thumb: on the band.

It's hard to get a good swing with a tuba. I'd put long odds that RVertigo could do a lot more damage with his bass. :P
I started playing alto sax in the 6th grade, but switched to tenor and marched in the 8th and 9th grade. I quit band in the 10th grade for basketball and baseball and by the 11th grade I was working to pay for a car :) My senior year I joined the jazz band again but those 3 years that I didn't play took their toll... i wasn't good. I sometimes wish i had a tenor again to play, but its been about 14 years :o since i last touched one, i guess I'd better just stick to guitar now.
Hey, Mr. 7! Last chair sax! [Ali G voice] Respect!
:nana: :)
Nice pics. 200+ people, damn. We never even hit 100. Ahh, brings back such scarring high school memories. I was a drum major, and played piccolo, second chair flute (damn you jenny kong!), and played xylophone/marimba in winter Drumline.
"And this one time, at bandcamp..."

No way man. Our band was full of horny kids. It was like a god damn erotic soap opera. There was so much going on, it was insane. You'd be VERY VERY surprised to know what goes on during band trips.
+1 :thumb: :thumb:
Dude, I've seen American Pie. I know what the score is.
You ain't gots to lie, Craig.
But... It's just band-geek on band-geek action. How challenging is that? About as hard as getting a Goth chick to make out with you...
Ok when I was a 8th grader and marched with the HS band we had this um epidemic of um pregnant band and guard chicks.
Sounds like my middle school... We had at least five girls in every grade pregnant one year... Pregnant 6th graders?!? :o WTF?!?
My high school marching band looked like a Far Side comic. Those dudes couldn't get laid in a morgue with hundred dollar bills hanging out of their pockets.
I guess there's something to be said about not being the worst looking guy in the band.
Starving people will eat some nasty food.

Everyone knows that the Goth chicks were really just rebellious band-camp drop outs.
I can't wait to see the next episode of "Made" on MTV. WTF????
the one with the overly flamboyent *ehem* rather large kid that wants to play soccer? and look cute while doing it?
Quote from: BadgerEveryone knows that the Goth chicks were really just rebellious band-camp drop outs.
Yeah... Band Geeks with no musical skill and an affinity for white face makeup, black clothes, and black and/or holy-shaZam!-RED lipstick.
Yeah. The 17 year old "heavy" kid with the giant DD cans that wants to play soccer.
Two words.
Pure. Comedy.
How many band geeks do you remember having a motorcycle? :thumb:

I didn't talk to the band geeks.

Holy hell. I didn't notice that the first time thru, I think my brain censored it for me. For some stupid reason I went back to page 1... The band at my high school actually had a rather flambouyant young man on the color guard. Hilarity ensued.
I was in marching band for 7 years. All through high school, junior high and elementry. It kicked ass cause i wrestled in high school too. got me out of the after school marching practice around the track, instead i had to do buddy carries up the stairs at the stadium, grr. lol. I started out playing baritone and in high school got switched to tuba about half way through. In our band the Tuba's were the pets, we didnt have to do anything, and our director loved us. We had 6 tuba's and we all go to wear berets...nice :). lol. Plums dont fit under the bell anyways...
