jay leno has one,  I saw it on a show on the discovery channel.  Ive heard its not aspowerful asyou woud expect.  It doesn't excelerate like a jet fighter,  but it has no "real" top speed-- they said it will just keep gaining speed as you give it more throttle.  they also ponted out that there is a few second delay between when you let off the throttle and the bike actually slows making it difficult to ide on the street

That's a 'feature' of turbine engines.  They like constant speeds.  There's a definite delay while they spool up after you throw the coals on the fire, and similarly to wind down when you reel it back in.

I have a sneaking suspicion that that bike wasn't designed with stop & go city traffic in mind.   :roll:
