Title: Does anyone have the FRONT GS-R kit farings on their bike?
Post by: ddcsteven on December 07, 2005, 09:49:54 PM
I have seen a lot of talk about the gsr kit from alizio but everyone that has the kit has the rear kit only.  Does anyone on this board have the front farings to the kit (front farings, clipon bars, mounting brackets, everything else that comes with the front kit).  I have search but all the info is from end of 2003, start of 2004.  Its almost 2006 and I wanted to see if anyone has this faring kit on their bike.

I really like how the kit looks but with all the mounting problems of the rear kit I wanted to see if the front is any better.

Thanks

You missed the whole brouhaha with the guy who scammed Aluzio and got his post stickied while people threatened to stop by and liberate other people's money from him?  He had the full kit on his '04.  They have pics on their site.  The consensus is that the kit needs some tweaking and you're best off painting it here.

I emailed them about thier front kit for the GSXR1100. If they give me a good deal on it I might go for it.

As far as the tail goes, I was disappointed with it when I unpacked it and did a test fit. I went ahead fitted/painted it and it looked pretty sharp when it was done. After all the trouble I liked it. :thumb:

I think GS500 owners should petition hotbodies to make one!

I wonder if those gsxr1100 tails would fit our bikes?  The last post about these farings, it looked like it was the gsxr1100 tail on a gs500...

It might fit the older model but I doubt +01

The plastic runs a couple inches under the tank.. I'll have to post a picture of my stock 1100

it's cheaper to just sell you gs500e and buy a used gs500f

I currently have a gs500f and i kinda want a differnt faring look for the bike.. something more gsxr looking and that kit seems to be the closest.

I have contacted them, but havent heard anything back in about a week and a half... so im not sure whats going on, if there still making them or not.

I may end up ordering the front faring kit and just have it primer and go from there.  I just wanted to see if anyone else on the board ordered the front faring kit to see what would need to be modified to make it work on the bike.

I've tried contacting them about ordering a kit and I want to get the gsxr looking rear also.  Do you know if the new rear and front faring kit will fit a 05 gs500f?

If you're worried about the site being legit, just ask them to put it up on ebay and use the paypal protection.

That's what I did last year for the tail section. I think jetswing and maybe joel did the same thing.

I just got a reply back from them about the kit and they are going to be releasing the new gsxr end soon.  I really like the front, but it kind of a lot of money to buy and not have fit right.  He said that it "should" probally fit because all the 01+ are the same... but is that true?

The factory 1100 tail. It's plenty wide and streaches up under the tank a couple inches.

Please excuse the size of the photos and bikes state of partial disassembly...

This is what I'm interested in, undertail exhaust with fancy fiberglass... I imagine you could make it fit the older model GS, but it's hard to tell with the shape of +01 tank.
