Hit and run during the commute time on 520 is smart as hell - er, no witnesses there at that time of day! Two stopped, and the cop has the guy's plate and address and will pay him a little visit.

Now we must wonder about the status of his insurance. . .
He lives in Redmond, and the car was newish. I'll bet a good chunk of moola he's insured. I think he's just a twat.

RG....good to hear your ok. I mean dam....you'd think these idiots would look before they jump into the HOV lanes. My car was hit about two months ago by some idiot not looking first. I'm happy I was not riding that day. It was on 167 at the Valley Med off ramp area. Not much damage to my car but I was lucky. I'm just happy you did not get hurt......

I got the plate and the color, and the cop now knows what kind of car it was, the name of the guy, and his address, and will shortly know his insurance provider, I hope.

Let's not forget a mandatory MSF class with a minimum of 20 hours riding on the street after the class. That should be followed by vehicle suspension for 6 month with only mcycle use allowed.

Ja, to top it off, he was solo in the HOV lane. And 520 is a three-person (or motorcycle) lane.
I used to have a video tape of my buddy and I doing 120 up the HOV lane.. I5 just entering seattle... Needless to say we were dumb ass 21 year olds doing stupid stuff with cars..
The gal at the office said they allow up to 10 days for a H&R followup, so I'm just waiting to hear back.
