Title: M3 and me...
Post by: Roadstergal on December 10, 2005, 05:10:34 PM
It was a rather nice day today.  I put the PITA's battery in the F to get it charged up.  Took a pic at work, and also took some pics of my friend's M3 - if anyone wants a Dinan supercharged black/cream M3, it's fer sale.

I just strap the luggage on whenever I take it out.  Too handy.  The mix is still off.  I'm fiddling.

m3 and I!

I love love love those m3's, I'm trying to find one in the area that's reasonable since I blew up my engine but they seem to retain their value quite well...

Nice pics! :P

Oh, and that means I finally got the '91 out for a ride.  Wheeeeehaaaaa!  Now the dead spot is gone, and it runs fine at idle and midrange.  WOT has a hesitation at any rev before it shoots off like a M-F.  I have the stock mains from the '05 that are bigger than what's in there now, and I'l try those before the 150s.  Hmm, maybe I should make this my track bike and make Aaron take the F.

OK, OK... jets this week, chain and front forks, and maybe paint, next weekend.  I have to drive to Spokane tomorrow to take my bloody GREs (again - I took them in '97, but the ETS doesn't keep scores past 5 years).

Wow...I'm glad I hadn't found this site when I was that heavy. I'd hate to think that I'd make anyone barf just from my appearance.

The deep level of shallowness is downright depressing. You are all lucky dawgs for being so perfect.

Post by: aaronstj on December 12, 2005, 09:29:25 PM
Shallowness is one thing, but those girls are morbidly obese.  Morbid as in death.  They will die of being that fat, and that sort of weight is not just something that sneaks up on you, or happens against your will.  They need to take action now to counteract the serious health risks associated with being that obese.

Being shallow would be considering an average or slightly overwheight woman disgusting (too common thanks to our media).  But thinking of the bikini women as disgusting is pretty much a natural (and healthy) reaction to people living with an obvious disregard for their health and well-being.  It's the same as considering smoking (one of my occasional vices) disgusting.

Those women absolutely need to do something about their serious medical condition. That serious medical condition is called morbid obesity, or--in their case--super morbid obesity. Super morbid obesity is about more than stuffing one's face with Twinkies and Ding Dongs; it's a serious medical condition firmly based in science and genetics, and it needs to be addressed with serious medical intervention. These women are likely candidates for gastric bypass surgery (which is the only known and proven successful long-term treatment for morbid obesity and supermorbid obesity).

They also deserve the respect due any human being. What they don't deserve is comments such as their appearance making people want to throw up or losing their lunch.

I think that assuming that someone with this VERY serious medical condition is living with obvious disregard for their own health and well-being is a HUGELY gross judgement of their character. Medical conditions such as morbid obesity and super morbid obesity have little to do with lack of character, or being a big, fat, lazy@$$ pig. Those of us who've suffered this medical condition have suffered not only the major health issues associated with our disease, but we've suffered the ridicule of a society that DOES find us repulsive to look at or be around.

Contrary to what you and many believe, this sort of massive weight gain DOES sneak up on you, and it *IS* against your will...... Would YOU choose to be super morbidly obese? Genetics determine many things, our sexuality, our physical characteristics, whether we have heart disease or diabetes... Genetics also determines our metabolism and weight. How do you explain one person being able to eat 3K calories a day, and others (such as myself) who simply LOOK at a lettuce leaf and gain weigh.

Bless those big beautiful women for their hearts and for their courage to wear their bikinis. It's not a choice I'd make, but more power to them. I hope they truly have that strong spirit on the inside..they're going to need to to survive in a society that treats them so incredibly badly.

As you might be able to discern, the rights and feelings of large people is a subject near and dear to my heart. It breaks my heart to see a class of people (ANY class of people) ridiculed and tossed from society like stinking, ugly, disgusting garbage.

I do not find these women disgusting in the least, and it's so terribly, terribly sad to me to see others' reactions to them based solely on their appearance.

Pandy that was very well said.  I think that some people are quick to judge before examining the facts.  My ex boyfriend's mother had that condition and I truely cannot say that I was not uncomfortable around her until I got to know her.  It's human nature.  I don't think of myself as shallow and I'm not trying to push my opinion on anyone here but I can tell you that she is one of my favorite people now that I have gotten to know her.  I can only respect her for what she has to go through every day.  She's scheduled for the gastric bypass surgery in the coming months and I hope things go well for her.

I think that this particular tangent proves that you should be conscious of other's opinions and really try not to be so offensive.  I was ticked simply because it didn't stop once you guys obviously offended someone.  It's just immature.  Cut your losses.

big beached whales, belong in the ocean.  quick someone call green peace we have a live one...   plain and simple, it takes years to consume the calories required to build that much tissue regardless of metabolizim, if that sneaks up on you, you rate a round in the head. and no I'm not perfect, i denyed my military disability, i had 100% disabled in the books, thanks to my back and knees. but you know what I can still work, so I don't  live off the government. it whould make things easier for me, but you get to a point whare you realize you have some diginity left, and just don't want any charaity.   as far as I'm concerened they can choke on thier own vomit.
