do u think the U.S. will get this sv1000?

It's an anniversary edition... If GB got it this year, maybe we'll get it next year or something...
Somehow I doubt it... We never get all the bikes from JP.
We got the "20th anniversary" scheme on the Bandit 1200 instead.
:?
i like the anniversary edition better than the colors they have now. which sells more; the bandit 1200 or the sv1000s?
In the US? Probably the B12, but not by much. Neither are hot-sellers, but they sell enough to keep around.
I was talking to one of the guys at the dealership, and he said that once they slap lowers on a 1000S, it goes.
The SV650 is an all-around fantastic bike, more power than you need, and from the reviews I've read, the 1000 doesn't handle as well. The GS500 and SV650 are so pervasive for a good reason. Which is at least better than a lot of bikes that are pervasive for no good reason... :P
There's a brand new 2003 SV1000S at my local dealer. Twice I've tried to work them over on deal for the thing... It doesn't seem like they want to sell it yet.. That or I'm just a little to cheap..
+3 on that the SV1000 is "rare" to find on the street...
my odds are much better in a city of a population of 100k people and I regularly see SV650 like bugs and well GSXR's and ninjas are 2 for a dozen....Not a bad thing just and observation
maybe you should offer them more than $5 for it :nana: :nana: remind them it's an 03' :thumb:
The SV1000S is one of my next choices. After I get all the crap off my property I don't need or what I'll be looking for a new bike and it'd between the SV1kS and a K6 GSXR1000. It's between maintaining my undying love for twins, or grabbing the pinacle of performance (the K6 beat out even the F4 1000 and factory 999R :o :o ). Something about the sound liter twins, though...it's sex for my ears. That and bikes don't look all that right without an undertail, underbody or a big can on either side. A K6 with a photon cannon on either side would probably have me hooked...
I've only seen one SVS on the street. A red one with D+D's in Lubbock.
