sorry but i havent post here in awhile, still have my gs, riding the r6 now. went to walmart today here in san diego. anways it was a black gs-R, had the brazilian conversion and a custom exhaust pipe, didnt get a chance to see what type of slip-on it was but it sounded mean, nice rumble. kinda like my friends duc but calmer. waay different then the stock exhaust. i didnt know a gs could sound like that. anyways can someone tell me if they finally came out with a slip-on for the gs or if its custom how can it be done. thx
Welcome back!
It's still a custom, Srinath made some flanges that accept a variety of mufflers, most notably WileyCo's. If you do a search on WileyCo you should get a wealth of information.
i remember srinath making those flanges. sent him a check never got it, oh well. so its still custom? damn
noob here...
what's a brazilian conversion?? is that just the high clipons that i've seen?

Whaaaat ... I cashed a check and didn't send you the flange ... or ??? Tell me cos I still have check from months ago sitting from people - Skoozi, and Jeff Marston and WAP and many others ... as in I wait for ever before cashing a check ... Till well after the buyers got the stuff. Anyway ... I am likely to be making something in the next few weeks ... flanges ... maybe. Yea I am like lazy and over stretched and crap ... However I do not take money before the stuff is in your hands ... especially if you sent a check ... paypal I have not much control ...
Cool.
Srinath.

any possibility of makeing some gs clip-ons? :)
Wasn't that X5's plan? Dave was going to send him his '89's as a template... ;)
Yeah. He was going to. I don't know what his plan is now. I'm kinda short on time and money right now though. This might turn into a summer project.
OK If I get 25 orders ... I'd make a 1 piece top plate with welded in handles ... all from laser cut and bent steel ... Price will probably in the $75 region ... the real penalty will probably be weight ... It will most likely weigh as much as the stock bar+top plate ... a Clip on type setup like a 89 will be 1/2 that due to the fact that it has a much shorter steel bar effectively.
Cool.
Srinath.
I used these for racing, but for the street, the headlamp bracket gets in the way.
