The bikes a '93 model.

I had just put the left hand mirror on it, so mI thought I'd post a pic. The mirrors give you a better view behind, but shake worse than a dog shitting razor blades.

I'm looking at putting a different set of clip-ons on it, as they're still a little to high for my liking.

The white wheels are so '80's, but they're going to stay white till I can be bothered doing something about them.

Jake has your paint got metallic purple flakes through it?

My solution: never clean them. They end up sort of a grayish brown from a distance, which matches my dirty frame. nice, eh?

Well I managed to get a pair of clip-ons on Friday, so Friday evening was spent putting them on. I only got a chance this morning to test them out, brilliant  :thumb:

Time for some more photo whoring

The clip-ons are made made by a mob called Tingate. They're an Aussie mob in Melbourne.

I picked up the bars second hand. The id of the clipons is slightly larger than 37mm, so I had to shim the fork legs to get them to fit on tight.

Household tip: Always keep an empty aluminium can or two in the shed. :thumb:

NICE LOOKING BIKE !
don't know if the yanks know who the toecutter is !
i made my own set of clip ons. i was going to get a pair from tingate but it was going to take 6 weeks !
in the mean time i have started work at Bob Martin Motorcycle Engineering
:thumb:
this meant i have all the equipment i need at my disposal
first i made a set of clip ons. I am making a new swing arm and also modifying a bandit 1200 front end to go in the gs.
twin discs, bigger forks.
For any aussies, let me know if you want anything and i'll tell if we can do it and how much it will cost. i plan to create an extensive range of gs bits.
i can do any of this for americans but i will charge you twice as much !
nah just joking, i can do for usa but it will cost you more in shipping.
:?

Thanks for that. I paid $50 for those bars, the bloke at the bike shop had them in his garage.

It's good to know we can get gear this side of the pond.

I might have to get onto you next year, as I've got a few plans for the bike.  8)

Just a thought, a set of triple clamps for an RGV front end with the standard GS rake :dunno:

Quotedon't know if the yanks know who the toecutter is !

Just to explain the Toecutter is the leader of the bikie gang in the first Mad Max movie.

What have you done with pegs/rear sets one your bike, as thats my next planned mod after some new tyres.

I'm watching the movie now and only just realised that he has one shaved eyebrow & I've watched this movie dozens of times. :?

He also has a good part in the movie Stone, which is another Aussie biker movie.
