My team had an away game at a nearby rink today and I sort of over estimated how long it would take to get there so I had a bunch of time to kill so I stopped at the pro shop.

There was this hottie there wearing a suzuki riding jacket so naturally I couldn't help talking to him.  C'mon now...a hockey player that's into bikes? I dream about such things. (Don't tell my bf) I asked him what he rode and how long and we got into it a little bit.  ;)

Here's the catch.

He just started riding this year, he rides a gsxr750, he thinks it's too small, he's getting a busa.  Maybe I'm a jerk but I sort of nicely pointed out that it takes a lot of time to harness the potential of a 500 let alone a 750 supersport.  I asked him if he's ever been to the track.  He said nope.  I asked him why the busa. He said because he NEEDS to go 200MPH.  That was enough for me.  I just told him to be careful and walked away.  Yuck.

Am I a total butthead to be completely annoyed by this guy?  I'm sure my insurance is going to go up as soon as he bites it but maybe I should just let people be. :dunno:

It probably sounds stupid - and will make little sense to you, but he was probably just trying to impress you.

He probably equates fast bikes to exciting, and he thought he would try andshow you how damn cool and exciting he is. You were SUPPOSED to swoon and be all over him and turned on by his "danger factor".

Some guys strike out time and time and time using this approach. Eventually they will learn  :thumb:

I have a weakness for hockey players.  Always have, always will.  The current boy doesn't even like hockey. (must re-evaluate relationship).

obviously I wouldn't have been hitting on him...but...had I overheard the conversation I wouldn't have hesitated to inform him that when he dies I have dibs on his forks...least he f%$k them up in the process.  That's if I was in a good mood...

hmm, I hope I wasnt too creepy to the girls that worked there. But they did flirt a bit, I hope thats because of my wonderfull smile and my charming personality and not just because of the after hours skating i used to let them come too.

Now im not saying they all are. But the vast majority of female hockey players I new, were ghey. At least the older ones. My sister played for princton for two years, and said 50% were openly ghey or bi, and she guessed another 25% just kept it to themselves. But if i could find me one, Id be happy.

I thought i looked pretty good in my gear. Isnt that why i was getting all the girls when i played in high school? Wait, i wasnt getting all the girls. So your saying its because i played hockey that i wasnt getting any?

And your right, its not very flattering on girls, except some goalies for some odd reason.

ok, i guess some guys can pull it off.  But man, there have been some good (i mean really good) looking women that i've played (hockey) with that looked like big 'ole oompa loompas in their gear.  And they could probably kick your ass, funny as it is. :thumb:
