Title: Lost a great friend
Post by: 97gs500e on December 19, 2005, 05:31:09 PM
This last friday a great friend and former general manager at my job was attacked in his house here in Lenexa, KS.  Someone came in through the open garage door and fought with my friend Nigel for several minutes, stabbing him several times in the back, the head, and neck.  Nigel was able to call his wife and ask her to call the police before he went unconscience.

His wife found him minutes later collapsed on the living room floor, just before the paramedics arrived.

I found out at work that evening and it just made me sick.

They said that if he made it through the night, then he had a good chance of living.

The police have no leads, no suspects and no one saw anything.

Nigel Marcotti died early this morning.  Leaving his wife and two young daughters.  His birthday is wednesday.

It's my biggest fear and I think about what I would do every night before I go to bed if someone were to break in.  I'm so sorry to hear this story, and sorry for your loss of a friend.  Sometimes people in this world are terrible..now those poor girls will have to live with this every year around Christmas time. :(   Again, I am so sorry and my prayers are with you and his family.

Something similar happaned a few weeks ago around here where a couple of guys broke in and tiered up some old man and robbed him, and then beat him with a baseball bat and left him for dead. He survived but not in good condition at all.

It is shaZam! like this that makes you shake your head and raise your fist in disgust.

Best wishes to his family, and may justice be served - by any means necessary  8)

Something similar happened here on campus a month or so ago. A few latinos crashed a party and were told to leave. They grabbed a girl and took her out back and stabbed her. They stabbed 5 other people who tried to help her, too.

People are f%&ked up.

My condolences to the family.

Oh god ... my neighbor had a break in and they stole guns. Then they broke in again and stole some other stuff and his lap top. That was a year + ago, then its been quiet ... but that is scary.
Cool.
Srinath.

Geez, I'm sorry about your friend. There are some sickos in the world, but they'll get what's coming to them.

This time last year a similar thing happened here to an old man who was alone at home. This guy happened to be a highly decorated WWII war hero living in one of the largest military communities in the world. Suffice it to say they caught the bastards and they were dealt with accordingly. Just a bunch of punk kids.

Real sorry about your friend. It's really a shame there are people in the world so willing to hurt others for no apparent reason.

That's why I keep a gun in each bedstand.  Ditto on the rest.  Horrible tragedy.
