Hi
I just read the posts concerning battery problems (charger says its full, but it cant crank the bike, and each progressive attempt is weaker). However it didnt help me much. I think what I need is a new battery, one thats teh sealed gel type so I dont have to deal with it.
Someone suggested one they sell at walmart, but I dont think they sell it anymore. anyone know where I can buy one for my 89 suzuki?
If not, any suggestions on how to repair my current wet acid battery for less than the price of anew battery?
Thanks everyone
Check your water levels. If they are low, put in distilled water up to the full mark.
And how high does your charger go? I have a 12V one, but the battery on my '91 wanted a little more to get a good crank. I ran around with it in the '05 until it was all charged up.
Would there be any benefit from getting a larger battery for the GS? Mine wouldn't start off a fully charged battery last night (probably because the battery is old and crappy) but it jumped of my truck battery on the first try.
what do you guys think about this?

sealed....wonder if thats a legit site.
you can get a sealed battery at cycle gear for the same price. They are definately reputable if thats the price you want to pay.
hmm never thought of that. Can i be sure they will have one for my 89 gs500?

Did you get the YB10L-B2 or the CB10L-B2? And since they don't have it on their site, would you be willing to buy another one and ship it to VA?

I don't know right off hand and im away from my bike. I went in the store and they had a catalog that I found the battery i needed for the 91 in it and I looked on the shelf and bam there it was.
