riding in heavy rain blows :x
ok, my fault a bit. I was riding on heavy rain wearing jeans  and my only complain is how wet I got.
my crotch was a pool for the fish, no wonder babies cry so much when they have a pound of matter all over their cheeks (bottom ones). my boots held fine, until water from my completely soaked pants started dripping on them. the new insulated and waterproof gloves held ok, but the water got in eventually... what a wonderful sensation.
in fact, everything got completely wet, except the inside of the motorcycle engine and my hair. my cell phone stopped working, my mp3 player is just a paper weight now, the joe rocket waterproof lining was a nice joke btw. it appears I took a dive in a pool riding a bike.
even my licence, registration and insurance papers got soaked. i'm tryin to get them dry now.
oh, and the one dollar bag proved to be 'not waterproof' :( (gotta update the specs).
all of this in 10 minutes of riding
so i'm stuck until the jacket dries... :bs:
Out for almost an hour last night in heavy rain, and only the ends of my hair got wet - I like waterproof gear.

thank you for making me feel better
Get a car :P
The day I bought my bike, it started downpouring as I left the dealership. Since the bike was in its break-in period, I had to take the "slow" route home (US-1). Unfortunately, it took me 2 hours in non-stop rain to get home. My jeans were soaked in the first 5 minutes, and the water just seeped into my boots. At least the helmet kept my head dry, or I woulda been freezing! It's amazing how HEAVY wet jeans are!
It just goes with the territory. :thumb:
update: after a couple of hair dryer sessions on the phone, it appears to work 20% now (camera, memory card, sound and recharging plug are still busted). At least I was able to talk for a bit with it, but it won't recharge
btw, is amazing how sticky the tires are in the pavement with heavy rain. not a single slip during the ride. :thumb:
All the crap has been washed away by last weeks rain. I noticed how much more traction I had in the dry days in between, and last night. Full rain gear is priceless. TourMaster Elite two-piece rainsuit. Bought back in the early '90's; can't remember how much I paid for them, but even $80 for the rest of your life sounds like a pretty good deal to me (just make sure to get one size larger than you normally wear to be able to get it over your gear or leathers and so it doesn't restrict movement).
