I made it out and back to LA last Monday. Took the bike out for a shakedown run yesterday and all worked well -it had better power than I expected.
Here's the pics from the shakedown run:

For a cheapo Chinese dirt bike it runs damn strong. The biggest issue is the ultra stiff front forks. I'll have to do something about them. I have heard that if I remove the spring and cut an inch off that it will soften them up. Also change fork oil with real thin fork oil. True???
How much is cheapo? Looks fun.
are the forks inverted?
Yes, inverted forks. $700 cheap. It was too cheap to pass up. I originally bought a new $600 200cc from Ebay (search for 175cc "other" brand dirtbike...even though it IS a 200cc motor). When I picked it up they had an upgraded model, I asked how much and they said I could have it for $65 more...I couldn't pass it up just for the beefier front forks and rear disc brake.
what's the seat height?
If they were 2-strokes, I'd be afte rone...
hey John when did you start wearign chick jeans?
Seat height is about 31 inches. Not a full size dirt bike, not a midget wither. It's a 4 stroke. 16 hp.
nice jacket there, i got one for christmas just like it, whats your impressions of it so far?
I can't see how cutting off an inch from the springs would make them softer? I think you just need softer springs.
The Joe Rocket jacket seems flimsy but has padding in all the right spots. Once you wear it for a while it seems comfortable.
