I was so happy, it was about 52 degrees, so I got some gear on and rode about 50 miles. This is pretty good for this time of year in Indiana. I'm so glad I keep full insurance on it all year round.
Sorry just had to post :)
thats why you should move to texas :P you get to ride all year round :) (well almost )

you might be careful with that statement...and take into consideration that there's 600 miles of Texas north of you.
I did get to do some riding yesterday, though. Rode to work...it was my christmas present to me. The trip home, though, was rather interesting at 28*f.
It was 62F here yesterday, too bad my bike is at college....
It's been above 70F for the last couple of days here. It'll be 70F and up until Jan 2, hitting above 80 on Tuesday and Sunday. Too bad my bike is wrecked.

I've got almost everything I need to fix my bike up. I got my new bars, and I'm going to put on my old rubber brake line (the SS broke). My tach got busted, but I think I can fix it. All I need to get it operational is a brake lever.
cool cool .. when you get it going and your gonna go out for a ride hit me up . ! i'v heard park road 4 is damn curvy and i'm dieing to get on a good curvy road !
Yeah my brother, Jasco, was bragging about how he went out for a ride Friday before he came up here for the holiday (he lives in Bloomington, IN). He was rubbing it in because it was so cold up here in these "northern parts". It made me so jealous.
It hit 31 degrees yesterday up in Wisconny - and it was VERY tempting!!!
Just got out on the GS today (after having to jump start it...eek) here in Eastern Pa ;) Felt sooooo good after not having a ride on it in the past 3 weeks. Once it gets to 30 again, the bike will be put in a garage on a battery tender. But until then, ride on...woot woo!
It's been sunny up here for the last two days...
Wanted to...
Should have...
But couldn't...
DAMN!
I've been riding the ratbike around off and on all day today. It's starting to get a bt chilly again...I probably won't be doing much of any riding over the next couple weeks except to test stuff on the rat.
We saw high 60's around Denver on Sunday, got to ride around the area for a bout 2 hours on my GS and my DR650. It was fantastic - little/no wind, not much grit around. A nice change from the high of +8F we'd seen a couple of weeks previously.
They spray a lot of magnesium cloride as road de-icer here, and that stuff will make the road slippery in a car when freshly applied.
It's high 70s, low 80s all week long here. Gonna continue into next week. :):):):)
:( 'Tis the season up here to spike the tank with STA-BIL and hang up the key for a while -- but once mid-March hits, I'll be (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/redshift/Ride.gif) for the better part of nine months. :)
I dont' see how any of you can just park it... :?
I'd go nuts.

:? over my head, man.
Just kidding...
I heard it said that "Good things come to he who waits". Each spring I get a twinge of that "First Ride" feeling I first felt four years ago when I had 1.3 miles on the Odometer. All smiles and a fresh new season. :)
I must be lucky...I'm thrilled everytime I ride...

What makes you think we're not going nutz???
Not being able to ride and dealing with retail customers this time of year makes you just wanna go berserk!
:guns: :guns: :guns:

Easy there, Annguyen. Dealing with the public has its moments regardless of profession. Spring is only 80 days (or so) away. With global warming, it may even come sooner. ;)
... as for me, we got 2" overnight. Looks like another riding lay-over...
Snow? Get a drz. :D
Insidently I know where a really good shape, quality 650 is for sale...
looks like we are going to have a mid 50s degree day and tomorrow could hit 60. I'm going out again :)
