Motorcyclist killed when rear-ended at traffic light

The Kansas City Star

A motorcyclist was killed early this morning in a wreck at 83rd Street and State Line Road.
The wreck occurred at about 1:45 a.m. when a motorcycle stopped at a traffic light on southbound State Line was struck from behind by a 2001 Honda sedan, police said. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Honda was arrested for driving under the influence and will be arraigned today at the Johnson County District Court, police said.

The name of the victim has not been released.

And will likely get nowhere NEAR the punishment s/he deserves!  :x

Most likely he/she will be drinking as soon as they get out of jail...

Providing that jail is even in their future... :x

I suspect that driver will go to prison for a long time.  Involuntary manslaughter is a pretty serious deal.  My bet is he gets 7 years, at least.  

So sad.  A 62 year old man, enjoying some unseasonal weather around the holidays.  His family probably waiting for him at home.  He probably got some new gear for Christmas and everything.  

CABS!!  Why don't people just take cabs??
