As a former porsche owner, I am disgusted.
That is the most worthwhile thing I've ever seen someone do with a Porshe :P
Well at least you can drag the groceries home now.
You see how far some 928 owners will go not to be mistaken for a 924?
They would rather be mistasken for an El Camino or Ranchero!
At least it isn't a 924 posing as an El Camino.
omG that's funny!!!
I'm going to have to suggest that my friend do the same with her 914 now. ;)

The rest of it.... ugh

The motor is right there on a 914. So would she put it in front???
:nana:
"I'm a Porsche truck man. That's all I drive. Ain't got no boundies. No compromise! There ain't no doubt that the king of the mountain is built Porsche tough!"

It would just have to be a verrrrrry small pickup bed! I know some of the motor is in back, but isn't some of the motor in front, too?
Yeah. All the 914's have twin motors. That is why they are the most desirable to collectors. Some people foolishly took out the second motor to put into the fronts of 911's in the 80's, so a true twin motor 914 is hard to come by. I saw one go for like $80K at the Barrett Jackson Auction the other day. A true work of art.
It looks like a freakin' Honda Civic Del Sol.

Waaaaaah!!! We had a stock 914.... but it was sold..... long ago.... and not for 80k!! :(
del Sol....I was trying to think of what that mutilated Porsche looked like, and that's it! Thanks, Alpha...I couldn't wrap my brain around what the car was that it reminded me of!

+1
:thumb: At least they can haul some stuff now... I mean, it's not like you can make that thing look any worse than stock.
Hey man, I actually LIKE the look of the 928 and 944s! The 924 not as much, and the 968 even less.
The only cool Porsche was this one: Link (http://www.zron.com/images/oval9.jpg)

Some people just need to be shot.

A professor at my school drives one of these. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.
Yeah... The bathtubs were cool...
But, they were made at the same time, by the same people as the link I posted... That was really my point.
someone probably busted his hatch up and he just did that instead. He sounds like the kind of guy who likes to piss people off.
I think I just threw up a little bit in my mouth...
...928's aren't all that, anyway. Handle for poop, get bad mileage, cramped, etc. 951's, 44's, 31's and 24's were the worthy-of-mention watercoolers. The 928 was supposed to be a GT...but for the cost you could get a 930...especially today.
Fan and previous owner of the searies one Type 1 and Type 2 944's.
remember my father had an old VW squareback (thats stationwagon to most) that sposivly had a 914 engine in it. must admit, it moved will with the old slushamatic in it.

57 oval, no? god those were great. I remember people making those into fake split windows though...posers.
reminds me what mine ('66) looked like when I bought it.

only the same engine in terms of layout-horizontaly opposed 4. internals were different, with porsche getting more hi-po stuff.
I dont see how that is MORE useful than the space he gave up under the hatch? and there's no tailgate...how are you supposed to get the bike to the track?
Quote from: Blueknyt...that sposivly had a 914 engine in it.
so did most vw's through the 914's era...1.7, 1.8 and 2 liter flat fours. The 912 also had it, and a 1.6 IIRC.

,
correct me if im wrong, but isnt a 914 rear engined? and about the size of a go-kart on steroids?
The 914 was mid-engined.

forget a motorcycle, you couldn't get a mountain bike or road bike (bicycle) in that "bed" without taking both wheels off. Then I'm still not even sure it would work
the first thing I thought when I saw was "Porsche-Camino!"
It looks like somebody's "shop truck" project
